I don't even know where to begin with this one...

I'm not a huge fan of Russia or anything, but holy shit, it's so annoying to see them getting scapegoated left and right. First they supposedly got Donald Trump elected, and now they're responsible for a bunch of poor German women getting sexually assaulted by gangs of Muslim migrants. What will they get up to next?

Russia is somehow getting immigrants to rape.

OK, how? How on earth would they even arrange that?

Maybe they're trying to paint it as them following the Ruskies' example--Germany--and Berlin in particular--was not a great place to be a German after the T-34s rolled in in 1945.

Moving beyond the fantasies, this is just more bullshit scapegoating of the Russians.

What is this I don't even...
Well of course there's only 18 convictions. "The suspect was Arab, and 5,7," that pretty much describes every Muslim man ever.

Sadly, this. When a dozen or so people get together to attack women in such a way, it's very hard to later find out who did what (or who might even have been involved).

It's infuriating to see how the "presumption of innocence" defends the attackers here. And even if the attackers were propperly punished, they'd still be laughing their asses off over the comparatively light sentence cause the West doesn't hack off hands or whip people in public.

Not like I would advocate such barbarian measures, but ffs, it's infuriating.

Honestly makes me wonder how politically motivated the legal results were, the legal teams are likely so terrified about being called racists they don't want to add to any actual statistics that could give credibilty to people saying the refugees are rapefugees.

That's also a concern, but oftentimes the people in question just can't be propperly punished.
If, for instance, the regular punishment would be a fine, how are you going to fine someone who lives off welfare?
Some positive outcome is a new regulation that a sentence that would be higher than a 6 Month probation will automatically lower the chances of being aknowledged as a refugee drastically (though deportation remains problematic).

I know this might seem radical, but what if people were jailed for sexual assault regardless of where they're from?
