Yeah the notion that these are unskilled people gets to part of the issue but, I think, not all of it.

The other missing piece is that for whatever reason in their background, huge numbers of gendercows believe they are too good for working in entry level or unskilled employment. they have to be "helping people" in a teaching or social work role, or they have to be working as a computers person even if their tech background is negligible, or they need to be in a nonprofit helping people exactly like them.

The biggest reason I can see for this attitude is the bubble social media has closed around them.
