“Most productive year” my ass. There’s a simple explanation for Billy’s work only being shown to “anti-trans suicide-baiters.” Because they’re the only ones who care enough to engage. The kinds of people who might enjoy his work aren’t seeing it because he hardly ever makes anything. The algorithm treats it as low priority, so it doesn’t get pushed.

What I’m saying is:

1. Creative work is hard work. No work, no reward.

2. The mental image of this enormous middle-aged pedo crying is hilarious. I bet he bellows like an elephant seal.

It's not $700 a month, it's 24.1% of what a similarly skilled employee would take home as gross income, but if you've been self-employed less than four years then you pay roughly 4/5ths (specifically a 22% discount). Since the official guidelines assume graphic artists have very slim expenses and revenue almost directly translates to profit, you can run this calculation backwards to deduce that the government sees a gross income of somewhere around $3500-3900 a month based on tax statements.

I haven't been following this saga too closely, was the partner employed in any capacity? This smells like someone either being really bad with money, someone being a total financial drag or someone angling for a nice little grift to see if the scheme is worth continuing.

Oh yeah, that'd do it. I assumed they bought some crap ass 40's house from the stuff I incidentally gleaned, not a whole ass school which will absolutely bleed them dry. The heating bill alone will be merciless (enjoy heating up Fuck You sq ft while the ~historical~ building is leaking from every orifice imaginable and then some when it's negative burger degrees outside) and there's a reason why those old disused school buildings are so cheap.

Looks like I have some backstory to catch up with.
