I was waiting for these boomers to get swept off their feet

Usually I would agree with you, and prayer is always important, but God appears to have made up His mind on this one. “Thy will be done.”
And I'm of the mindset that prayer isn't about asking God for favors. "God, please stop this hurricane now" is not what I'm saying here.

I'm praying for the healing and the rebuilding of the lives that this is going to seriously affect. Once the storm is over, the aftermath will be around for a long time.

True.

It's not like people have homes or property that are about to get destroyed, or anything. Fuck 'em, right?
This is what they get for not voting for Kanye in 2020. God is rip'n & tearin.

Jokes aside, I'd probably be there as well if it's all I had. Imagine working your ass off to get a nice little house just to have a fucking massive storm rip it apart so a bunch of kind individuals pick at it for valuables like carrion. Reminds me of Katrina, I don't know if it's already allowed but all heathens trying to capitalize on this by looting should be strung up as a warning for anyone else who'd try that shit.

Please note there is a cut in the video to transfer from air to ground. Water is officially standing and pooling. Wind situation is about the same but rain is definitely stronger. Still hearing the occasional sounds from the main lines on the main road but no more shotgun blasts (transformer exploding) so that's nice

This. So, so much this.

I assume the owner either couldn't get the dog accepted at a storm shelter or didn't want to share close quarters with it in a vehicle loaded up with family and possessions but .. shitbull or not that doggo IS family, or it should be. Decent humans don't leave their pets to die. Always have an emergency plan that includes your animals, even if it means being separated from them while you board them somewhere safe.

At least the poor pupper has some mild internet fame now, which will probs bring a better home with someone who will love that dear, lovably terrifying monster dog.

Oh, and stay safe Florida Kiwis.

Are you out there yourself? If so, godspeed brother. It's only just begun.

He's great at what he does. His tornado coverage is second-to-none, and he has a team of chasers who report on storms, then stay behind to help with recovery using the money he gets from donations to his 501c3 and superchats.
Shill accusations be damned, quality content is quality content.

Only silver lining is that the winds are indeed down to 130, which just barely brings it into Cat 3 territory. The current recon plane seems to corroborate that. Not sure if it'll get any weaker before landfall though.

Might I also add that the NOAA and NHC are absolutely invaluable resources for this shit, and the work they do for this is truly impressive. One of the very few government agencies that are a net positive for the general public.
