Hurricane Milton

Ever heard of a WW2 bunker? Or a flak tower? I bet those a pretty resistant.
Or just move to the midwest, or like nevada or the west coast or wherever.
Hell, im pretty sure properly made masonry can withstand hurricanse, maybe not category 4 and 5, but like, it's got a decent chance at anything below that right? Or, say, soviet style commieblocks.
My goodness. An earthquake and a hurricane are two completely different things. Building earthquake proof buildings is actually not overly expensive - you are building them to move on purpose. Hurricanes and high winds are another matter entirely. Entirely different physics involved. Most buildings survive hurricanes; but they take a lot of damage. A masonry building built well in Ohio may look strong but if it’s not built to withstand specifically 120 mPH winds then no, it won’t make it.

So, landfall be hours sooner than anticipated. I guess that’s better than midnight.

Florida's penis (aka Pinellas county) is under a flash flood warning for the entire county

They should nuke the center of it, worst case scenario it just makes a radioactive hurricane.
If the worst case scenareio is a radioactive hurricane maybe just leave it alone...
I probably shouldn't admit this but you had me there for a second. Something about red letters and bold typefaces just make me believe things.
I have family that got majorly fucked by Helene and nearly shat my pants when I saw that, 10/10 trolling keep up the good work.

"How can I make this about racism?"
Maybe because you only follow English speakers? Probably shitloads of chatter about this but it's being done in Spanish because last I checked Mexicans don't speak English.
Sucks the Seminole didn't have a written language. I'm genuinely curious how the pre-contact tribes handled hurricanes. It's not like they had horses until Europeans came over, so it's not like they had any way to leave in a hurry.
Natives not having horses is one of those things that I just can't square with even though I know it's true. Imagine their reaction to seeing them for the first time, was probably an initial "whoa what the fuck" immediately followed by "I NEED ONE".

Last proper hot meal for probably a while. Fresh grilled cheeseburgers, with a side of ground beef, sazon seasoning, salt, pepper, a bag of frozen yellow and red peppers, with onion, a little bit of olive oil, sauted on a charcoal barbecue grill, served over leftover black beans and rice, heated up on the same grill. The pictures don't really do it justice because I am not a photographer and took them with haste, tasted great tho.

Ribs are in the oven boys. We're eating good today. (Unless the power goes out).

How are the Jews doing in FL? Still there? Just checking how bad it is...?
They mostly live on the East coast, specifically the area expected to get the least amount of action. But that Wellington tornado I mentioned is awfully close to the Jewish stomping grounds of Boca Raton.

Are these people just genuinely suicidal? I guess it's more fun than the suicide pod
A lot of people in the modern day live very privileged lives, so they're never in any real imminent danger, which I believe has led to a lot of people completely losing all sense of danger even when they are in actual danger, and that's when natural selection kicks in.

tfw you go outside to warn family about the tornadoes and to be careful setting up the shudders out there only to have something fly straight into your fuckin eye from strong winds. small tiny piece of wood but fuck, be careful out there florida kiwis.
God damn dude! Good on you for wanting to warn but stay inside please and disinfect that shit right away you don't know where it's been.
