There are nearly 50,000 police officers/deputies/sheriffs/state troopers in the state of Florida, as of 2024.

I think that after they focus on helping the survivors in the aftermath that they can ask one or two to help them with the person who dumped the dog.

Yes there were multiple rumored instances of New Orleans white cull-de-sacs putting an end to looters before they could even make it onto the street. They apparently were really good at keeping quiet about it, too, cause I never heard about the punishment lawsuits and arrests that ALWAYS happen when white people defend themselves against ferals.

Just saw several blinding blue flashes of light outside (not my neighbor's). Probably someone's generator went kaput? Haven't had active electric for eight hours now. No thunder. Heard 'bzzzt' sound.

These blue flashes of very bright light of similar intensity in the same exact spot have been happening for an hour. No audible thunder so I don't think it's lightning striking? Kinda spooky. Also winds very intense.

Kind of wild how Milt was such an absolute powerhouse freak out on the water (not to mention how he spawned a metric fuck ton of Midwest-tier monster tornadoes) but chilled out considerably as soon as he hit landfall. I really thought he was gonna have Helene-tier legs, but I suppose not.

Regardless though, he's a fucking hurricane, and is wildly dangerous no matter what category he is. Stay safe Florida Kiwis, I've been praying for you guys. Hope the losses aren't as bad as feared and that you guys are able to bounce back quickly.
