Ubisoft Sellout - Bankruptcy Speedrun Any% Thread

Apparently Tencent was the one pushing Ubisoft to include Yasuke. The video implies Tencent has been intentionally sabotaging Ubi for a takeover.

Considering the insane narcissist Kim Bellaire, founder of Sweet Baby, Inc. is former UBI Montreal, which is lead studio on Shadows, Nobody had to FORCE woke on them.

Yeah and it ended up in the hands of Todd Howard which I would describe as the worst possible fate for an IP I love but then Randy Pitchford bought Homeworld. Point being I don't really see anybody in modern day games industry being suited and/or willing to put in the work and care with any given franchise, it's just gonna be twisted and milked for cash until you no longer recognize it. Let dead properties lie, it is for the best.
I'd say Homeworld fared worse than Fallout somehow

Like a USB stick full of barely legal squirt porn and company secrets forgotten at Medieval Times. Randy is such a shitty human it's appropriate he looks slimy at all times. If I'm honest the signs were there with Deserts of Kharak already.

Give the IP to literally any other company that has capable platforming specialists, at least we might see an HD remaster of Rayman 2/3 out of it.
Didn't they make some mobile games that seemed pretty good? At the very least do a quick port job and get those to a real console. Ideally we'd get a new 2D game if that does well.

Wasn't there this huge leak a couple years back right before Valhalla came out that showed that a bunch of the Ubisoft devs across several studios were turbofags about female protagonists and corporate kept telling them to stop it and put a male lead? Like Bayek was suppose to die early on and his wife was suppose to be real main character. Evie Frye was suppose to have a bigger part but Jacob ended up getting a lot more screentime, he even got put front and center on the boxart. Kassandra was supposedly the ONLY original protagonist but corporate forced them to add a male lead. The devs were super salty about this and had Kassandra appear in that Valhalla DLC to remind everyone that she's canon.

The leak never had anything about Valhalla but I'm willing to bet they tried again to have Eivor only be female and Odin be male (which is stated as the canon choice) but corporate likely came in and told them to add a male choice, so they probably just grabbed the VA for Odin. I feel like a part of the Yasuke decision was some 500 IQ strategy of "ha, we included a male protagonist like corporate wanted AND we can force people to play the female because the alternative is a negro!"

Just in case people think that Chinese game=boobies by default, I would like to point out that the recent Dead Rising demake has been outsourced to the Chinese
China has a vested interest in encouraging the cultural rot of the west anyway. I don't imagine Tencent would really pivot to based chinkpilled content so much as they'd probably just steer the ship a bit more towards profitability.

I think it was coming out around the time they were me tooing everyone. Ubi teams kept pushing for solo female leads but one higher up kept forcing them to make a male alternative for marketing and gameplay purposes.

This started to become a talking point when journalists began running articles saying 80% of Odyssey's players picked the 'wrong' protagonist in the form of Alexios, even though devs kept crying over and over that Kassandra was canon.

I assume this higher up was probably excommunicated for this.

Ha ha, and then the devs completely shot themselves with Kassandra being cannon cause at one point in a expansion a plot point was "I don't care who you had sex with before you're having a kid now. Be gay after being a mother".

Has anyone been playing The Division 2 recently? They've got a series of "throwback events" where you get guaranteed Exotic gear for beating specific Manhunts; today, it's the Memento backpack - the one that looks like a Hunter's backpack, covered in Division watches and Hunter axes - available for neutralizing Brandom Schaeffer. Anyone else doing these events?

Also, does anyone have a build for either the Iron Horse raid, or the Dark Zone? I've been wanting to try and unlock the Ravenous Exotic, but I don't have a good build; given the continued buffs and nerfs to weapons and gear and such, I've been stuck using the same build since... hell, I can't remember. Any ideas?

I've been playing the shortened Global Events rather than bothering with the mission replays, I already have those exotics, but some of the new caches (namely the one that has System Corruption pieces) are kinda worth it.

If you want the Ravenous stay out of the DZ. While it can technically drop there the odds of it dropping are fractions of a percent, and then you still have to extract it without the assholes killing you for fun.

As for a raid build,Striker's/Heartbreaker aren't recommended, especially for carries, since you're not going to get and keep stacks properly. I believe the recommended build for carries is still the OG full red build: 3pc Providence, Fox's Prayer, Contractor's and Coyote's. Generally you'll want either Unbreakable or Glass Cannon/Perfect Glass Cannon (depending on whether you have the named chest, and are confident in your ability to stay alive) For backpack you want The Gift if you have it, or a regular Providence backpack with Vigilance if you don't. For weapons I think you want a FAMAS/F2000 with something like Strained or Optimist (Shield Splinterer is great if you have it) rather than a St Elmo's because I believe there's a small chance that Elmo's shock ammo can fuck stuff up.

@East_Clintwood Yeah, I've had some difficulties in getting Exotics myself; never was much of a grinder, so I find the replays to be helpful, personally. I also probably should be looking into those caches; I'd like to get some better gear.

Was never great at the DZ; you see people talk about how "easy" it is to get geared up for it and how fun it could be, but... it's not. It's just crammed full of sweats with perfectly rolled gear, and it gets frustrating when you get jumped by 4 people at the extraction who one-shot you and take all of your loot. To say nothing of the cheaters...

I think I've got a decent chunk of gear you mentioned for the raid; problem is, I don't think any of it has decent rolls, so... I'm going to need to be doing some legwork, then.

Is it true in the new Star Wars game at the end you are rescued by a faction you were most friendly with and if you didn't do any sidequest it bricks your game?

in part it goes back all the way to anita, who complained about no female option in unity. devs even came out and explained it literally wouldn't fit on consoles (but then unity was a technical mess anyway), ubisoft since then has double- and tripled down

I assume this higher up was probably excommunicated for this.
he was. iirc he was one of the big three and with ubisoft for ages. I remember it because it was specifically mentioned on article from back then as some form "look how bad that dude is", where most people would go agree with him, like the retarded fable 3 dev wanting a black women on the cover for the xbox dudebro audience...

it's not meant as a defense because oldtimers can be weird and company culture can slowly rot over time without people noticing (or caring), but some of the shit read like the usual #metoo hitpiece. "he was over friendly and touchy" - bitch, you're fucking french, you spend half an hour every morning sucking each others cheeks off.

Late probably, I read that Black flag would get a remake or something. In France the LFI party(far-leftists bobos) already bitched about Unity back in the days. Now their old guard is also getting gutted by the new and more pozzed leftist retards inside the party(basically reaping what they saw). With current Ubisoft I would easily see them cooperate together to repozzed Unity via a remake too.

I only played AC1&2 and never finished Unity and Black Flag. With all that is going on, which one should I do first ? Which one do you think is the best ?

Of those two, Black Flag and it's not even close. The ship combat stuff was fun as fuck, and Unity was a buggy mess. Up until they changed to the shitty RPGs with Origin, Unity was the only one of the series I never played all the way through.

It's impossible to say for certain but I'd bet Unity was the straw that broke the camel's back and provided just enough opportunity for bad actors to slip into key positions. Not that Ubislop was much better before but Unity was such a colossal technical fuckup that might be commonplace today but wasn't so much back then. IIRC it was the butt of jokes for a solid few weeks. Even Jim Sterling used to dedicate a minute or two of his videos to Ubisoft bashing (Does he still do this? He's probably happy with them now). I'd imagine more than a few heads rolled and eager culture warriors stepped in. I don't think it's much of a coincidence that immediately after Unity Ubisoft made a hard turn in the woke faggot direction while still maintaining their on-brand lack of quality.
