This is only so effective, in my experience Youtube just tries to shovel channels you've asked it never to recommend back to you within a few weeks or a couple months. They don't appear to actually have a permanent option to block channels. Just another way that Google refuses to actually give agency to their users.
As someone who watched his streams earlier in the year, he doesn't even do that much. Maybe occasionally, but for the most part, most of his streams are usually playing some other game he's been sponsored to play while continually shilling the game, pausing every so often to tell some random story or ramble about something posted in chat or on social media, brag about his game development, or he just has his Minecraft "MMO" mod open and he's poking around at random things in the coding for the mod between his constant yapping breaks, not really doing much of anything.
I like this guys style, liked and subscribed (but not actually because I don't have a YouTube account).
It's pretty much just him ego stroking his audience and his audience ego stroking him back. Hell, with how much work he's put into his chat system, I wouldn't be surprised at all if he's got someone (or even himself) sending him super chats that would allow him to tangent into an old topic where he can fellate himself, like his own voice or how he's a hacker or he's worked at blizzard, etc. I used to be baffled at the claim that people like the gunt and dsp would send themselves superchats but now I understand. It makes sense for this guy at this volume. The returns from self superchat investment must be tremendous.
I'm piggybacking off of your post to say that the man does literally everything but game development during his near daily 12~ hour streams that he advertises as being about "game development".

Jason's appeal isn't that he is coding something really neat/hard. There's almost nobody on twitch that would understand or enjoy anything about 3d engine coding, so your ceiling for viewers in that niche is going to be tiny.
So instead of setting log level to anything other than "info"/"debug" (which is probably the cause), or fixing errors in "his" code, the SUPA HAKKA decides to "remake the functionality in-house". Good fucking job, Jason.
I have some friends who have dealt with this too, but oddly enough, for me it does seem to be permanent, however I did think it was quite funny how I hit F5 after blocking PirateSoftware and the top recommendation was Jason on somebody else's channel.

Then did you give away your IP when you SELL your games, you fucking mongoloid? The government didn't sign off on the game devs only technically selling licenses when you buy games digitally and the world just kept spinning.
Also he is running community minecraft server. Did it hurt Mojang? Does he own Minecraft IP because of that?
