Hello there! I am so far behind with my own Cardposting...is tardiness a dog whistle? Let's see if Card has a video on being late!
Wizards
How is it racist? Wizards is bad news, fellow progressives!
"One of the terms online image board reactionaries use in this way is Wizard which is a term they'll use to identify themselves and others. Wizard is a term which arose directly from incel forums. If you don't know, these are self-described, involuntarily celibate, misogynists and originally on Japanese incel message boards a wizard was any incel over the
age of 25 and younger incels would treat these Wizards with a sort of reverence. Eventually, the term made its way to English language, misogyny focused websites where curiously the age one becomes a wizard at was raised to 30 the term wizard is still pretty commonly used on a lot of image board websites like 4chan to the point where there's an entire spin-off site called Wizard Chan which as you can imagine use of the word is practically second nature over there."
The threat of wizards and Wizard Chan must not be allowed to propagate in your online communities. Any mention of wizards must be met with swift and harsh reaction.
I don't care how much of a bop this song is. It's secretly a dog whistle!
Indian Trains
How is it racist? This is such a big deal that Card spends a whole TWO MINUTES OF A THREE MINUTE NINETEEN SECOND video actually talking about the subject!
"Today specifically I wanted to talk about the stereotype that Indians are commonly killed in train accidents and how this concept has become a contemporary reactionary meme, particularly in online spaces. Among the online, far right over the past few years it's become increasingly popular to be overtly racist towards Indians and in that time it's become more and more common for them to disparagingly stereotype Indians and attack the Indian people and Indian culture with memes and jokes and racist slogans. To that end, one of the racist stereotypes, which is commonly spammed by online alt-right brigaders at Indians online, is this idea that Indians are being frequently struck by trains as the result of their own misadventure. This is a stereotype that's born out of the fact that India is a country with well over a billion people and a fairly large amount of commuter rail infrastructure. Accidents do happen but overstating the degree to which Indian people get themselves killed in accidents is a favorite joke of sorts among the online far right. To that end, something that's gotten popular in recent years on image board websites like 4chan and 8chan is posting collages of fake news articles supposedly showing lots of examples of this happening and there is a shocking large amount of uh AI generated images floating around out there on sites like this purportedly showing Indian people playing around on train tracks about to be hit by trains. People referencing this stereotype are either doing so simply as really low effort online reactionary trolling or possibly they're just naive people who have essentially been fooled into thinking this is really a big thing, particularly if you see this sort of thing on a more mainstream website like Twitter or Facebook. If you happen to see people online parting this narrative that scores and scores of Indians are getting themselves killed in train accidents now you know the reason why. It basically all goes back to reactionary propaganda"
Well...sure Indians are getting ran over by trains all the time but pointing that out is something cyber bully racists do! There's a billion people in that country so OF COURSE they're gonna get splattered at a higher rate! You don't need to rub their noses in it! That's the same as redeeming, if you really think about it.
FBI Crime Statistics
How is it racist? It's so racist that Card only needs a minute of your time to tell you.
"To this end, one of the ways far right types will covertly signal their beliefs to one another online is by invoking what they claim a real FBI crime statistics reporting to show that in the US black people are responsible for a disproportionate amount of violent crime. It's essentially a way for racists to call black people violent and savage and it's of course worth noting that no real American crime tracking figures actually support the assertion that black people over there are responsible for such a disproportionate amount of crime in the first place. But still, alt-righters like to believe that their bigotry is built on any sort of merited concern rather than just a reactionary fear of people that are unlike them so you'll often see them alluding to some statistical study or record of who's doing what crime in the comment sections of websites like Facebook and Twitter where more overt racism might get them banned."
When you see a racist posting FBI statistics showing how disproportionate violent crime is done by blacks, know that they're are both not reading those stats right AND are being covert about their racism. They are quite sneaky by showing charts that state directly that the black population commits far more violent crimes than any other racial demographic. All those graphs/charts/stats are completely made up anyways. Card said so and trust this man with my online safe space safety.
"JQ"
How is it racist? It's so racist that Card needs almost 2 minutes of introduction to prep you for it's racism! It's so racist that Card only needs 30 seconds to progressive pill you on the JQ!
"To this end one of the more relatively simple, but most nefarious, examples of this is the term JQ which stands for the Jewish Question, a term lifted straight from Nazi Germany where it was essentially the euphemistic way Nazi High command would refer to the project of the Holocaust. To be redpilled on the JQ basically means to be anti-Semitic which is the sort of language alt-righters will use to hide what they're talking about if they're communicating or expressing their beliefs anywhere online that might be seen by regular people."
Much like the FBI crime statistics, someone going around talking about the Jewish Question is hiding their Nazism. You can never relax as there might be sneaky bigotry about!
"Dilate"
How is it racist? It might surprise you that this one is not inherently racist! It's actually transphobic!
"Today specifically I wanted to talk about the word dilate and how it's become a contemporary reactionary meme and signal, particularly in online spaces. Simply put, "dilate" or "go dilate" became something of an off color joke or meme on a lot of image board sites like 4chan and 8chan where, for a few years now, it has been used by reactionaries to mock transgender people, and transgender women in particular. The term "dilate" is derived from a crude misunderstanding of post vaginoplasty treatment that some trans women undergo following genital reconfiguration surgery but, its core, dilate is just a weak insult. Their use of the word is intended to reduce a complex and deeply personal aspect of transitioning to a crude or trivial talking point often as part of a broader strategy of marginalizing or dehumanizing trans individuals. It's not necessarily the most subtle reactionary meme in the world but if you don't know what it means it might still be easy to miss so if you ever happen to see the word dilate somewhere online for seemingly no reason at the very least now you know why someone is most likely trying to joke about trans people's struggles."
Whenever you see someone tell another transgender person, and transgender women in particular, to "dilate"
they are trying to lessen that transgender person's, and transgender women in particular, experience of genital reconfiguration surgery. Block, report, and move on. In this house we wear red pullovers, greet people with a "Hello there", and respect the trans community.
"Happening"
How is it racist? It first got it's start in cyber bully bigot image boards like 4chan and 8chan and anyone who uses it knows about the lingo of those cyber bully bigot image boards and are thus 99 times out of 100 a cyber bully bigot themselves.
"To this end one of the ways alt-right types will attempt to signal their reactionary beliefs to one another, without most normal people catching on, is by invoking the particular phrase "it's happening", especially when the phrase itself is accompanied by or associated with pictures or gifts of the former US Congressman Ron Paul.

In this sort of context, the phrase "it's happening" and the images of Ron Paul associated with it are a meme of sorts among online reactionary communities where it is understood to convey a sense of nihilistic accelerationism by posters."
And that's all the explanation you get. Educate yourselves, fucking racists!
Bathroom Guardian
How is it racist? You see this man?

This so called "bathroom guardian" is beloved by bigots everywhere for hateful heroics. You really need that 2 minutes of introduction from Card to gird your loins so you can absorb the full impact of how much hate there is behind the "bathroom guardian".
"To this end, one of the ways alright types will attempt to signal their reactionary beliefs to one another, without most normal people catching on, is through referencing or posting this man, the actor Cory Wells, as he appears in a 2016 Public Service Announcement about transgender issues. In the PSA Wells plays a transphobe who attempts to block someone from going into a public restaurant

and despite the fact it's a pro transgender PSA, once image board websites like 4chan and 8chan discovered it, they quickly took to celebrating and valorizing the actions of Wells's character. They called him the "bathroom guardian". In reactionary online communities, pictures of wells are now used as a common expression of transphobic sentiment and there's even loads of slick edits and mashups of the original PSA floating around out there online that have been made by these people. Therefore if you happen to see someone online posting pictures of this man all apropos of nothing it should register as a really big red flag. At the end of the day, it's just low effort transphobia."
These kind of slick edits and mashups should terrify you.
I know I lose sleep just thinking about the bigotry floating out there!
Welch's Jelly Pirates
How is it racist? ...well I'm not sure. Not even Card is able to fully grasp the complexities of Welch's jelly pirates but he knows that it came from 8chan nerds which automatically makes it evil.
"To this end, one of the more obtuse ways alt-right types will attempt to signal their reactionary beliefs to one another ,without any normal people catching on, is through posting or alluding to images of 16th century style pirates alongside Welch's brand fruit jelly. Conflating these two concepts visually is a meme of sorts among online reactionary communities where it is understood to convey extensive knowledge of, and agreement with, uh the far right misogynistic, transphobic, nationalistic, anti-Semitic worldview. Why exactly it should be that these two seemingly random identifiers, piracy and Welch's jelly, isn't entirely clear. It could be purely arbitrary and abstract but it has been a way that the alt-right covertly signals their beliefs without other onlookers understanding what it means for some time now. Alt-right artist will draw images of pirates holding Welch's jelly or jars of the jelly alongside typical pirate accessories then these images will be reposted by social media accounts run by far right people who attempt to disguise how far right they are because the pictures will signal their beliefs to other far righters while most people don't realize the abstract images mean anything sinister, and especially since the advent of consumer AI image generators being available online, it's been easier than ever for internet reactionaries to make their own Welch's jelly and pirate themed images here's a brief montage of a few I've seen recently.
*shows off 30 different images of pirates with with Welch's grape jelly, spending a second on each image*
Note that many were AI generated, some were not, and a fair few incorporated other pieces of imagery popular with the online right such as Pepe the Frog and The Troll Face character. Now this all sounds very strange explained out loud like this but this is a way alt-right types signal their beliefs to one another. Even though there isn't seemingly any particular reason this worldview should be associated with such a random visual concept, it is now."
You frickin fricks! All you frickin racists and your frickin fantasies have ruined grape jelly! You frickin fricks just can't ever be quenched. Your fantasies can't ever be quenched, can they? When will you learn? When will you learn THAT YOUR ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES!?
"Then, One Day, For No Reason at All..."
How is it racist?
"To this end one, of the ways alt-right types will attempt to signal their reactionary beliefs to one another, without any normal people catching on, is through invoking or alluding to the specific phrase "then, one day, for no reason at all". The ending of this phrase is understood among reactionaries to be something to the effect of "Hitler came into power" but by saying just the first half most people will remain ignorant of that but far right wing people familiar with the phrase will understand what is being said. The way this phrase is invoked by people on the far right is that they'll use it to sarcastically bemoan the state of society now by implying that the thing they're complaining about is comparable to conditions in interwar Weimar Germany and that the coming into power of a Hitler-like person would be expected and even tacitly justified. This all sounds strange and a bit abstract explained out loud like this but this is a way alt-right types signal their beliefs to one another and what they're signaling is a firm belief in the need of a far right figure to come in and wash away all the degeneracy they believe to exist in modern society. Therefore if you happen to see someone online invoking the phrase "then, one day, for no reason at all" all apropos of nothing now you know why and it should register as a really big red flag."
Having a Weimar Germany situation in your home country is actually a good thing and anyone saying it's not and trying to raise an alarm because it'll lead to fascistic take over of power ACTUALLY wants that to happen!
