Where do we start?
Elections Being Null & Void-
Due to secret agencies being able to utilize AI masking to essentially skin suit another politician if that politician were to pass away at an inconvenient time (Ruth Ginsberg but instead of just shoving the corpse in a closet and pretending she's fine someone can actually just puppet her digitally)
AI & Dyson Robotics Horror-
Not even taking the bait of "AI will skynet us" The true horror is, it doesn't need to. Someone will be a tyrant with this power regardless of if you agree or not. China is training attack aerial drones in bamboo forests so you can't hide in the woods. If AI does skynet us, it may actually be better result then letting a bill gates do it, because at least Skynet's goals in the grand scheme of things are more "noble" and at least less degenerate. Skynet won't enslave us so it can chill on an Epstein Island and pretend to be god, It will either just enslave us for resource harvesting goals or it will kill/contain us. Less degenerate at least. The reason massive tyrannical empires used to crumble is because of the often failing power dynamics. You need your military to always be happy or they can coup you, but robots don't care, robots do ANYTHING you want it to, unless of course it skynets.
Medical Advancements Will Damn Us Rather Then Save Us-
With 3D Organ printers being conjured up, or at the very least organ harvesting operations, expansive medical advancements, and the claim that anti-aging medical procedures are on the horizon, those in power will eventually remain so indefinitely because aging will no longer be a factor, and much like any RTS game you may of played, the longer someone exists and settles into a place the harder it becomes to route them out. Now of course big boom booms will always be a thing that can reshape history, the issue is eventually I wouldn't be shocked if all the big players on the world stage make a sort of pact. "you stay in your heaven, I stay in mine, we don't fuck with eachother beyond minor things" Of course people will break these rules but much like the Geneva Conventions came to be I wouldn't be shocked if such a thing for the elite spruced up.
P.S- Rant over, I don't necessarily cement myself into these idea's and am open to discussing them. It's just little things I've considered in between handling casefiles for work. Looking forward to the rest of the depressing shit you people can think up.
