I think the latest rule change is to stop this bot that was set up to shit up the Guld Wars 2 thread anytime someone makes one. I remember the jannys having a whinge that they could not stop him as it hopped IPs constantly. But that might have been years old drama now. There's this one specific autist in /v/ and /vg/ who spams gore and scat about some Russian person and a few Fire Emblem characters in the Fire Emblem threads.
Apparently it started because this chick won a voting contest for one of their games. I don't know how it escalated from there.

This one is actually well deserved. /vg/ is probably the worst board on 4chan and is a rats nest of schizos and spammers.

/gig/ is probably the worst culprit. The general has devolved into a bunch of pagpag schizos spamming gay porn, scat, and monkey torture videos 24/7 because they are still seething over male characters released several years ago. To make matters worse, the shitposting and lack of moderation has gotten so bad that it has attracted the attention of /dbs/ posters, who have made /gig/ their unofficial home on /vg/ and shit up the thread even further. It's gotten to the extent that Genshin players have to go to /v/ of all places to have on-topic discussion about the game. (Assuming ABIB doesn't find out and delete the thread because he's a giant niggerfaggot.)

Other generals, like /hsrg/ and /feg/, are nearly as bad, and most generals have at least one dedicated, ban-evading schizo.

The fifteen minute timer is annoying, but if it stops schizos from turning their router on and off to dodge the multiple bans they get every day, then I'm all for it. Hopefully this means we can actually discuss video games without having to scroll through hundreds of images of gay porn spammed by dozens of ban-evading SEAnigger schizos planning coordinated raids on Discord.

This will do nothing against dedicated no-life spammers on /vg/ making threads unusable.
I don't really care about 4chan outside of two threads (and now just one) I browse, but even then I witnessed one of them - /ss13g/, one of the oldest generals on the entire /vg/ board that's been going strong for more than a decade - die with the mass exodus of spessmen to the sister thread on /vm/ following because one (1) shitter board tourist was spamming it with AI slop for over a year already. There were a few other spammers over the course of general's later life but none were just as destructive as this faggot. The jannies either cleaned the spammer up after literal hours when the damage was already done, did nothing or handed out warnings for reporting the spam in the first place:

People got fed up, stopped posting and because of that /vg/station, Space Station 13 server that the thread was dedicated to, almost died with population during peak hours struggling to reach even 10 players. Then people slowly moved on to the slow /vm/ thread that before the influx usually took a year to get pruned and now SS13 /vm/ thread is the most active thread on the entire board, with the game server's pop back on its feet. All because on /vm/ there's an actual jannie/mod that cares about their little corner of the internet, when the AI spam appeared on /vm/ as well they rightfully recognised it for what it is and made sure it'd get cleaned up right on time. If that person's reading this, once again - thank you for your work.
