I think it's just poor communication. The director wanted a cool shot to make things visually interesting as Kamala's answer was sending everyone to sleep so he told the camera man to do that and put it up on screen without realizing the prompter wasn't supposed to be shown. Killing the prompter is more effort than cutting to another cam, but it'd make sense if the campaign was operating the prompter but didn't have control of the video switcher and so scrambled to do whatever they can to control the damage.

Of course their effort just makes things far more conspicuous than if they had left it alone and pretended there was nothing wrong with having a prompter during the townhall.

The Electoral College is one of the best things about our system of government, prevents not just a few states, but a few large cities within a few states from deciding a national election. It's also in the Constitution, meaning an amendment would be needed to remove the Electoral College. Figure the odds of that happening.

Thinking back to the many Presidential elections I've been through, the Kneepads/Knucklehead ticket is the worst Dem ticket I have ever seen. Even Michael Dukakis had more gravitas than Kneepads.

It really makes me wonder how many people understand how serious that is. Yes, politicians and their pets want that to happen. They want a handful of cities to be the only places that matter politically. But how many people outside that sphere know that? Do they actually know what that means?
