Might be there's some merit to the data and speculation around covid and/or covid shots diminishing immune system function in people permanently, maybe they're just seeing everything get a foothold off of that.

With it being autumn, it seems like the media is ready to trot out COVID reports again. The fact a family I know is sick with it notwithstanding, the radio news reported the number of people in my part of Kiwi Land diagnosed in the past week and they're starting to make the periodic push for people to get the latest booster du jour. I'm not aware of any mask mandates here yet, but I am seeing more older people wearing them again.

I'd hope COVID isn't used to cause Election Day fuckery, but the current state of clown world is such nothing seems off the table this year.

What's stops someone from doing both? Mail in and then show up to vote? It's what I'd do if I was worried about a steal.

Ideally, the absentee/mail-in vote would be logged in the voter database. When trying to vote in person, a message would then pop up during check-in indicating the person has already voted via absentee or mail-in ballot and should not be allowed to vote in person.

This actually happened in Michigan during the August primary. Local officials declined to pursue charges but AG Dana Nessel recently announced charges. The joke is that the double voters must have voted Red for her to go after them for voting twice, but the truth is anyone voting twice regardless of affiliation deserves to be scrutinized even if it doesn't always work that way in practice.

I can attest that the targeted rotor wash is on purpose. We did it to civilians in Bangladesh that tried rushing helicopters carrying aid. The crew chief watches the damage go down, then radios the pilots when to take off. The 46's they're using aren't too bad, but the CH-53's can throw a 250lb man back 20ft and onto his ass.
