Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

Yeah I dunno I got through the first couple episodes of Creepcast and it just doesn't do anything for me. It's like they never sat down and actually talked about what the tone of the podcast is going to be. Or they are just so incompatible that it always feels like they are on a different planet as far as their individual experiences go with the stories they cover. It doesn't help that it seems like creepypastas they cover have a binary of "so goofy you can't take it seriously" to "the author has a paragraph describing a violent rape or dismembered body". Wendigoon gives me weird vibes. He seems intelligent and eloquent, but then would also unironically tell you he believes in demonic possession. The only thing I have against Meatcanyon is that his art is the kind of cringe shit you would see in 2010, but it seems like he's trying to move away from animation. Glad to see people clowning on the podcast for the same reasons why I never got that into it.

It's neat that the guy who's making The Man in the Suit scored a merchandise deal, but considering how notoriously protective Toho is of their IPs (not quite to the same extent as Nintendo, but they still defend their copyright pretty fiercely), this is like sticking a neon sign on your back that says "PLEASE GIVE ME A CEASE AND DESIST!"

Another question is how Makeship (the company doing the manufacturing) would be able to put something that's not even a homage, but a straight unlicensed adaptation of an existing IP into production without having to pay royalties.

Bad news for YouTube safe space horror community that hate Art the clown and urban spooks. Terrifier 3 doing better than Joker 2 clown Ass Rape second weekend.

It might be the language barrier that makes these more tolerable, but I quite enjoyed the explainers of these Russian series.
Makes me wonder which other countries have been taken by the analogue horror genre. Polish alternates? Tagalog FNAF tapes? Afrikaans backrooms?

The moment any analog horror goes to the plush territory, it makes its "scare" impact (and general impact) far, far less than it already was. What's with everyone and plushies lately? They're just the modern-day merch of slapping your YouTuber logo on a shirt and selling it for $30 with $10.15+ tax shipping. It's innocent, and they just want to make money, I get it, but something about EVERYONE doing it that's really starting to irk me. Irks me far more than random overpriced merch announcements.

How do I know they genuinely want to make a plushie or just doing it for the quick cash cause they know of their gullible fans? I don't know anymore, I'm being puzzle pieces right now. I'm just tired of all the plushie announcements from everyone around me, and these gosh dang ""horror"" creators are doing them left and right. (:_(

People have a right to profit from their work and I don't see it as an issue of manipulating gullible fans since they're at least getting a physical product out of it. I'd rather have them launch a plushie as opposed to taking a sponsorship for a VPN which is actively gathering your data or a shady online banking service.

To answer your question though Makeship, the company all these creators use, helps design the products and offers plushies as an option. I think that's seen as more unique than just slapping a jpeg on a RedBubble or Teespring shirt so creators are choosing the more exotic option.

It looks like a retarded grey axolotl but Japanese IP holders would still rape it. I want to give credit because the ad isn't terrible compared to other Makeship announcements I've seen.

For my schizo example on legality: Quinton got a plushie with Makeship and they only could make an orange splodge as a Garfield reference in its shirt so when Q jumped ship to YouTooz he had to wait for months to try to get clearance to incorporate Garfield again from Paws Inc he never received so he half gave up and asked the designer to make a just legally different enough coat for himself and with his cat in the Davis style.

Oh, no. I understand that. I'll take the #94844th Makeship plushie ad over some lousy sponsor that the YouTuber isn't interested in talking about.

It still irks me but I can see the better appeal of having a plushie of your average YouTuber's sona/oc/brand over the appeal of wearing their overpriced, slapped-on jpeg shirt/mug/whatever.

kind of reminds me when the one moron has the nerve to try and make money off something involving Nintendo (fan work, donations for things like emulators, etc) like what the fuck yall think is gonna happen when the big corpo rolls up to your door? I'm all for calling it out when they flex their power but the more you look into these situations the more you see the people had it coming and it is hard to vouche for them but i digress.

The plush thing reminds me of how corporatized horror in general especially in the mainstream media really is and extra so with how we are in October the money of Halloween.

Friendly reminder of how pussified the YouTube horror community and internet at large became. South Africa used to show PSA of a bear mascot raping a cat girl, helping someone shoot up heroin and murdering someone with a gun to the mouth. South African PSAs are pretty underrated.
This looks like something that you'd see at 3 AM on Adult Swim and I mean that in a good way

Wendi is VERY Christian and teaches Sunday school.
Is "The man in the Suit" really popular? It's the most retarded thing I'd ever heard in my life. It makes the monument mythos look coherent.
I have a hard time judging the popularity of an AH series. Some stick around like Backrooms and others are just a flash in the pan due to channels like film theory covering and viewers drop off when the lore channels stop talking about them.
The godzilla one looks like it is the latter.1000000905.jpg
That's a big fucking drop from episode one.
