This is were spite politics has got them. Why the fuck would any white male vote for the democrats now? They have spent close to 8 years calling us scum. That ad isn't just missing the point of why men aren't voting for her, they're missing the point of how to market to men. Trying to appeal to "being more manly" doesn't work when it's done in the context of social pressure. All these men (who may or may not fit your key demo) are doing ~the right thing~, why aren't you? It's downright effeminate. Men don't respond to social pressure like that unless they're already 80% estrogen from soy exposure.
