The fact he set his own reputation on fire for digital night vision and then tried to walk off he was leaving Twitter because of “fascism” is even more hilarious. I know you have to walk a tight rope with troons but man, enjoy it Karl.

Btw digital NV is best for either just aiming or spotting, walking around with them gives you motion sickness from the slight delay and if you’re going to get digital might as well make it thermal (I think Blue Jean Operator recommended a few)

Thermal and digital NV aren't well suited to helmet mounting because of the delay and refresh rate like you said, but I'm skeptical thermal will ever be a viable helmet mounted device. The high performance thermal devices that police and military aircraft use have to have dedicated cooling units attached to them to prevent constant NUCing, and thermals are notorious for eating battery life like crazy. You can't get through an entire night with a thermal without swapping batteries, meanwhile you can get through multiple nights of constant use out of a single AA on a PVS14. And of course you can't passive aim with thermal.

Digital NV has made some good progress, but even the best units like the OPSIN have worse performance in very dark conditions than a similarly priced lower grade Gen 2 analog tube. At least digital's a lot better now than when idiots thought helmet mounting an Aurora was a good idea. But it still seems to suffer from being "2 years away from being 2 years away".

What would a firearm or firearm accessory manufacturer have to do to pass this ethereal pro-tranny purity test? And why would they want to? If a manufacturer needs to offer pastel colored tactical dilator bayonets before they are tranny approved then they simply will never have guns to buy.
