Yes, it is worth saving, but doing so would require banning raids and getting an admin who doesn't tank the site so he can laugh at it from an ivory tower Discord server, and neither of these things are likely at this point.

VNC and jackbox threads are quite gemmy if you look into what’s happening in the thread.
Banning raiding and doxxing will do nothing and likely the site worse while also losing a bunch of traffic. I don’t know why this would be an issue considering at best there’s only 3 active raid/dox threads on /soy/.
The best thing the sites Jannies could do is pull what kuz or early FROOT once did and rulecuck coalposters and force them to make decent threads. Since FROOT is too lazy to even get back on the sharty let alone do that again and the Jannie cabal enjoys seeing the 3 autists spamming their new slop they are sperging over, it’s unlikely that will happen anytime soon.

I know the thread has become its own comfy part of the Soysphere and became less concerned with day-to-day happenings but I'm genuinely surprised no one's talked about them here yet. Maybe I'll wordswordswords something up later.
Following up on fucking with power plants via. unsecured VNC servers, someone on the Sharty has discovered SSH101, a site where Z-tier third-world TV channels can stream their programming for free. Unfortunately for them, one 'teen figured out the site's method of broadcasting wasn't very secure. (a)

The result is one of the funniest raids I have personally seen as a bunch of channels came under 'jakker control over the period of a couple hours, broadcasting gems upon gems to what are likely to be dozens of extremely confused non-'teen viewers around the world:

According to some 'teen in the thread, this guy was apparently the first one to find the SSH101 exploit. Here he is with a shocked pikachu face when he found out people weren't illegally hijacking television feeds for wholesome chungus purposes. (link, archive)

Yeah i remember clicking on random IPs from one of these unsecured servers lists and ending up on the webinterface of some indian manufacturing plants surveillance system.
Full control over cameras and whatnot.
These guys take "Security through obscurity" to the max and its NOT working in the time of automated web crawlers and port scanners.
Then again, if someone payed me 2$ per day to do anything i would probably also put in 2$ worth of effort.
