If I were to hazard a guess I would say that Jessica has Histrionic Personality Disorder. The preoccupation with sexuality and seductive behaviors present in HPD is what caught my eye initially. It has some crossovers with BPD including emotional outbursts and impulsivity. Converse to BPD where the emotions involved are intense, those with HPD form superficial relationships, where they are the center of attention and they crave attention and admiration.

Not to PL too much but I was in a relationship with a man when I was a teenager who was diagnosed with BPD, he met all of the DSM requirements. It was extreme and he was very destructive, to say the least.

It affects every cell in your body (literally) and wreaks havoc on your hormones across the board.

I've had issues with it for years - no goity, just nodes, and overactive but not bad enough for medication (yet, it's inevitable per the Endo doc for most people). When I was younger, I'd lose weight at the drop of a hat. Days where I couldn't eat, then a 2 day gorge. Whole body exhausted after insomnia for days. Resting heart rate near 100bpm. Fight or flight activated at random times. It can make you feel absolutely mental, esp when coupled with the effects on your reproductive hormones.
It's a rollercoaster and not consistent, at least for me, and highly affected by stress, alcohol consumption, poor diet, etc. So I imagine if, given the absolute size of Goity and coupled with NAL doing the exact opposite of anything to make it better naturally/receiving treatment that it could play a huge factor in her behavior - exacerbating other issues, whatever they may be, on top of being an alcoholic. Not to mention getting older and I imagine genuinely not seeking treatment which also makes things worse as time goes on.

Plenty of men have it but women would get diagnosed with it more but now it’s evening out, it wasn’t a matter of they were all females it was a matter of males were going undetected kind of like how males were over represented in autism diagnoses, because the males behavior stood out more in those cases, but it’s not a male disease we just didn’t recognize it yet.


Now, I do think that a sick brain is a sick brain and the labels are all starting to overlap because the specific conditions are getting broader in diagnostic criteria, but borderline definitely is extremely distinctive! That one has an obvious imprint with the abandonment/rejection issues and chaos.

I've got underactive, with nodules. I'm on medication, but it's very temperamental.
100%, absolutely. People don't know how much your hormones truly rule your life until they're fucked up, and nothing fucks them up faster than your thyroid. Even things you wouldn't think of as hormonal, or thyroid (like being a crazy bitch) can be thyroid.

Tbh she could be going through perimenopause, as well. She's only running on one good ovary and time is working against her
