The Apprentice (2024) is extremely anti-Trump, which is why the critics love it. Although tbf from what I've seen the movie has been doing very well, lots of people seeing it, lots of glowing reviews. It's surprising to me because you'd think it would flop hard.

Because Joe doesn't want to do the interview, and sometimes he ruins interviews he doesn't want to do. Think of his Alex Jones interviews pre and post Alex getting canceled. Pre-canceled, it was one of the best interviews Joe had ever done, got insane views, and spawned a half dozen memes that are still being used today. Post-canceled, Joe wouldn't even let him finish his sentences. Every time Alex started to breech a sketchy topic, Joe would slam on the brakes and try to fact check everything step-by-step as it was mentioned. It ruined the flow of the conversation and killed Alex's charismatic style.
I wanna say Tim Pool did something similar with Alex but I haven't watched Tim in a long time. Scheduling the interview is no guarantee that Joe will show up and treat Trump like any other guest. To some degree, he fears his income and social status being affected, just like Tim, even though he's banked hundreds of millions from his career. I think there's a 50/50 shot that Joe will just step on Trump's dick every chance he gets which will make for a noninformative bore fest. This would especially be bad for Trump because of the media alignment against him, so every time Joe asks Jamie to look something up, the first 20 sources are going to tie themselves in knots to make Trump look bad.
If I were Trump, I'd refuse Rogan. Joe needs Trump more than Trump needs Joe. Just let Joe go on being the one major podcaster that was too scared to do something when most of his peers weren't.
