Most in fact hate being walked. Cats, unlike dogs, are innately territorial and are prey animals in their natural environment. They are neurotic and autistic and get very freaked out in unfamiliar surroundings or around unfamiliar people. Some cats can cope with being taken for walks on a lead, and a handful (generally the more outgoing Asian breeds) can thrive on it, but most cats get incredibly unhappy and scared when taken away from their core territory - think how cats generally behave much worse at the vets than dogs.
Dave of course doesn't care about that. Just like fellow narcissist Polissa Campbell, living creatures are just props to him. Dave got a cat so that he can have an excuse to approach (uncomfortable-looking) women on the street with it, and so that he can project an image of being quirky, caring and interesting, none of which he really is*. Maybe that cat does enjoy being dragged around a city by Dave (though it looks very much as if it doesn't), but Dave doesn't give a fuck either way unless he can claim victimhood from it.
*OK he's maybe "interesting", in the same way that Prince Andrew is "interesting".

To be fair to the cat, the walks outside so Dave can use it as clout are the only fresh air it gets. Imagine being stuck inside getting gassed all day by his BO and farts. Dave has so much dandruff that I bet even that has a smell.

This is the key point.
Some cats do like walks, or even those cat strollers; cats are weird little individuals. But you have to ask the cat in question, and if your cat doesn't want to participate, apologize for wasting its time. Dave just decided he needed a prop, and the kitten got no veto. If he wanted a small furry animal that is guaranteed to like going on walks all day, he could have adopted a dog that size instead.

Lol, Dave needs to work on making his bullshit less transparent. Even if he parked somewhere he wasn't supposed to, there's no way there'd be enough time for a tow truck to be called, drive out to the Wendy's, and haul away his car in the amount of time it takes to buy one (1) soda at Wendy's.
...UNLESS he just got booted, and saying it got "towed" is his way of embellishing the story for sympathy and gibbs, which would be in character.

Is this a different court case? Dave is accused of stealing from his parents via a charge card, and harassing them, so how is his father's purported abuse relevant?
"Your Honor, yes I stole from my father, but, you see, he yelled at me back when I was living with him."
IANAL, but I'm pretty sure that if Dave shows up to court with a hundred hours of recordings of his father yelling, it will never be submitted into evidence; the prosecution will successfully object that it's irrelevant. His father won't have to answer any questions about it or explain anything because it's unrelated to the offense.

Agreed. I'm fairly certain these recordings don't exist or if they do they're nothing like what Dave makes them out to be. My guess is Dave knows he won't be allowed to submit them into evidence so he can make up any wild claim about the recordings safe in the knowledge nobody will call his bluff and air them.

Dave has been trying to sue Evil Dr Joe in civil court while the criminal case drags on, so this is probably for that. The only probative value a recording could have in the criminal case is if it’s of Joe saying Dave could eat on his tab at the country club.
As for the recordings I’m assuming that the snippets @Elbe posted last year come from a hoard of a lifetime of petty grievance and ASMR whinging. Dave bullshits about a lot of things, but I can well believe he records his father at every opportunity to add to his emotional spank bank.

Dave, when you do this it clearly signals you are a lazy, devious grifter. When normal people become disabled, it's a bad thing for them. It impacts their entire lives and those of their family and friends* so that they tend not to hang out the flags and book a band.
Many of them will find work arounds, ways to get by, but some won't and will end things, devastating those who love them**

Usually professional bios don't mean a goddamn thing until you meet the fucker in person, but this guy has previously held the position of President for the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Taking into account the size of West St. Louis, East Kansas City, Springfield, Columbia, and Independence, that's not an insignificant title to hold.
However, how the fuck did he end up being a public defender? Who, mortal or divine, did he piss off enough that he's been reduced to defending Dainty Dave?
