Careercow Donald J Trump - 45th/47th President of the USA, convicted felon, Epstein bro, Putin simp, serial liar, sore loser, cheat and the Chris-Chan of Presidents. THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL DEBATE THREAD.

Does anyone know why he changed his tune on Venezuela? When he had that cringey interview with Elon Musk, he said that if he lost he election he would move there because it's such a great place. Now he's talking about deporting those evil Haitians to Venezuela. Was it simply because Maduro refused to (pretend to) kiss his ass?
Venezuelan migrants are legally allowed to enter the United States under Temporary Protected Status thanks to…Donald Trump.

Yes, the Venezuelan gang members he is threatening to deport are here legally, just like the Haitians are. He had a chance during his presidency to end their TPS, and he didn’t, along with the TPS of a lot of other countries, including Sudan and a good lot of Muslim countries.

My personal instinct about this is that he believed that the Venezuelan population will vote for him. And he may be right - Miami-Dade County in Florida, long safely Democrat in Presidential elections, flipped to red thanks to the population of older, conservative Latinos. Venezuelans are amongst them. I’m not sure if the same will happen this year. I remember a clip of Trump campaigning in Miami literally saying something like, Venezuelans, I don’t care if you’re illegal, vote for me anyway, but god knows it’s lost in the mountain of bullshit he spouts every day.

Oh I know that, but it usually involves the attitude of the dictator leader of another country toward HIM.

He denounced Netanyahu and by extension, Israel after the 2020 election because Netanyahu had the unmitigated gall to congratulate Joe Biden for being elected. Then when Trump became the Republican nominee, Netanyahu started kissing Trump's ass again and now he's pro-Israel.

He was ready to bomb North Korea until Kim made the strategic decision to invite him to North Korea to have his ass kissed. Then Trump said "We fell in love."

Ealy in his presidency, Trump was threatening to invade Venezuela and supported Maduro's opponent in the 2018 election. Then in 2020 there was a complete turnaround. He wanted to meet with Maduro and started praising him for being "smart and tough" Now he's praising Maduro for "getting the bad guys out" [of Venezuela].

Is it possible that Maduro took a tip from Putin and established contact with Trump so he could start bombarding him with flattery? It may be wild speculation, but it's Trump's MO and it has always been consistent.

ETA: I now think his remark about deporting Haitians to Venezuela was just a confused old man moment.
Minor fact check: Dumpy Don didn’t go to North Korea. They met in Singapore, neutral territory.

Republicans are going to be shocked at how fast Texas and Arizona turn blue if they close the border, a constant stream of old Mexican Catholics is the only thing keeping them afloat there

While he didn't do it any favors, the true person who "fucked" the SCOTUS was RBG. If she had retired when Obama was still in office like she originally signaled, none of this would have ever happened. She's a cunt who doesn't deserve the rep she has and overplayed her hand.
Would it have mattered? What did McConnell do when Obama nominated Garland? He made up rules that didn't seem to apply when Trump got his hat trick.

Yea, it would've been same end result probably because of Moscow Mitch

I don't recall Mitch The Bitch going full puppet master mode until Trump showed up. He was a fucking tool, yes. But I don't remember him flat out just making shit up like he did after 2016.

He refused to nominate Garland for the SC because it "was an election year". Of course, with RBG dying 3 weeks before the 2020 election, he didn't hesitate to nominate ACB

It started in Obama's tenure as POTUS when the Republican party officially terminated the last of its ideals and just became an obstruction whiner party who are big sad at the bad black man in a tan suit. Trump is just their tulpa.

Fair. But I'm not sure he'd have done the same if RBG had retired in 2014 or whenever the fuck she originally mentioned it.

Obama really broke the GOP, didn't he. You almost forget the levels of cope and seethe there was by comparison.

Maybe, maybe not. We can thumb each other's butts with "what if" until the cows come home, and you're already modifying your statement of "during Obama's term" to "2014." On the other hand, we know exactly what he did with Garland and his general obstruction. Can't wait until that fucker pops a vessel in his brain.

I don't know what you're trying to accomplish by making this statement.

I can only imagine how insane the GOP may be if Harris wins. Weren't there people burning stuffed Obamas after he won in 2008?

Obama broke the GOP. Their civil war has lasted almost twenty fucking years. Even now, all of this is revenge for Obama winning by a landslide, and supported by a hell of a lot of white voters.

Hispanics, in my experience, are deeply prejudiced, self-loathing people, especially older Hispanics. They tell themselves that whatever ethnicity they are, whether it be Venezuelan, or Mexican, or Puerto Rican, that that ethnicity is better than those others - and usually those others are either more black (Dominican, Cuban) or indigenous (Guatemalan, El Salvadorian). I don’t know if Caucasian, Black, or Asian people feel the same way about others of their own race. Hispanic people usually even share a common language, religion (Catholicism), and elements of culture, but they all hate each other. It’s not surprising to me that so many of them are breaking for Trump and that they relish the idea of other Hispanic people being forcibly deported…until they are deported, too, of course.
