Needs to rewatch Surviving Edged Weapons. He's lucky it wasn't a fucking sword, but at the very least i doubt he's gonna get in trouble with that video, nor will the family get a big payoutThis cop failed his training. You do not let someone with a sharp object get within striking distance. Guy is lucky to be alive.
The funniest part about this is that Italians (as in, people who actually live in Italy) don't care about Columbus. Columbus grew up in modern-day Liguria, but that's it. He spent most of his life serving the Spanish. Even today, his living direct descendent is Spanish. The reverence of Columbus is mostly an Italian-American thing.I'm checking that IACRL twitter, the paisans are based:

Biden's October surprise was proof he used the office of Vice President to extort Ukraine due to influence peddling through his son and that he molested his own daughter. Trump doesn't have shit compared to any Democrat running for president in terms of being inoculated from scandals.Hot take: There will be no October Surprise, or at least one that affects election results all that much. My theory is that Trump’s relative immunity to scandal and controversy that has been with him since he descended that escalator has now extended to American politicians in general as people have become inoculated to scandal and will play it down or dismiss it outright if it affects their team.
New soyence in say he's Jewish. Not celebrating Columbus Day is literally another Holocaust. As a guinea myself, I sometimes pester anti-Columbus Day people by accusing them of anti-Italian bigotry.
Some signs look really good, some not so much. A lot of us in here are nervously excited, I don't think anyone is seriously "oh we got this in the bag, we gonna win it all.. BY A LOT"You people are overhyping his chances this election way too hard, when in reality, the odds are even, or tileted slightly for Harris, that's why I think it would be funny to see the meltdown
Another W for the interns. I can't tell if she is the source of these terrible ideas and her interns are too afraid to tell her she is dumb or if she is getting fed these disasterous ideas and she is too dumb to see how bad they are.
They like Columbus Day because it gives them some kind of way to relate to America and its history. It's something done to celebrate heritage and little else. The funniest part about this is that Italians (as in, people who actually live in Italy) don't care about Columbus. Trump being the republican candidate.I’ll take the bait here and ask you how exactly Kamala has a potential advantage in this election? I’m genuinely curious about the thought process behind the possibility that Kamalasisters may actually win this one legitimately.
It was also very much a Catholic representation thing. Catholics have historically been discriminated against in the US. That's where Catholic schools come from: most of the early public schools were created by Protestants who hated Catholics and, when Catholic parents had an issue with the Protestants trying to basically convert their children, the Protestants said "lol make your own schools then, papist scum."They like Columbus because it gives them some kind of way to relate to America and its history. It's something done to celebrate heritage and little else.
Mexicans don't really give a shit about Cinco de Mayo, Irish don't really give a shit about St. Patrick's day. At least not to the degree their American counter parts do. It's simply an ethnic celebration day. The Italians have just done a bad job promoting theirs, since the holiday used to stand on its own. They like Columbus because it gives them some kind of way to relate to America and its history. It's something done to celebrate heritage and little else.
Because it's so much fun, Jan!we did 100 pages over the weekend and not a single thing was happening. why all the sperging?
I can assure you it was not removed for the theatrical release I saw in a small southeastern theatre.I haven't seen many mentions of the rape, maybe it was downplayed or even removed in the theater cut? There's really no big discussion about it.
There are. Why did a Trump-Cohn angsty bromance biopic make me get teary multiple times? The Fred Jr. arc was also very upsetting and anyone with an addict relative will find it relatable. That actor was great too.the consensus seems to be that the acting is solid, the script is bland (and too referential), but there are some genuine heartfelt moments and both actors connect.
Everyone seems to agree that it humanizes Trump and makes you understand him.
I would say the movie is definitely biased against Trump but it's not extreme about it. The fact they very apparently made a strong effort to humanize Trump instead of doing a caricature or pure propaganda sort of defeats any underlying bias, whether they wanted that or not. The first half portrays young Trump as being slightly dorky and doe-eyed yet not a dumbass. He's likeable and even cries over Fred. My apolitical "film buff" friend told me that the response has mostly been a mixture of, "Wow they humanized Trump and it looks like it was shot on film, so cool" and people refusing to see it because they've heard it is NOT just "Orange man bad" the entire time. They have a friend that is mega liberal who is refusing to see it because "cheeto Drumpfler bad."The Apprentice (2024) is extremely anti-Trump, which is why the critics love it.
Interesting that the response from the hugely leftoid-biased film community is to say very little about or ignore this movie entirely instead of going absolutely apeshit and trying to get it banned or championing it as being like the Bible or something. There's really no big discussion about it.
Nobody persuadable is bothered by Trump's bombastic statements anymore, they care about the fact that they weren't having to pay for their groceries with a credit card when he was in office.Trump being the republican candidate.
Say you're an independent voter, you don't participate in politics that much, you don't talk about it to your family, you're not registered with any party, the most you do is every 4 years you go and vote for whatever politician you feel is the most comfortable for you.
In other words, a pure moderate.
It's 2024, you are now given the two choices as to who you think should be president.
First choice, Harris, she is boring and milquetoast, all of her views are the bog-standard center-left Democrat talking points of the past 20 years, but she's safe and unassuming.
Then you see your second choice, Trump, and all you hear from him is THE HAITIANS ARE EATING THE DOGS, THE LEFT WANTS TO INDOCTRINATE YOUR KIDS WITH LGBT PROPAGANDA, and MIGRANTS ARE INVADING AMERICA (reasonable point btw),
Trump's talking points are inherently further to the right and is made to appeal with staunch conservatives first, and centrists second, while Harris is more comfortable for the politically unaffiliated.
That's why Trump is on a disadvantage versus Harris in a presidential election.
Any sane man would take le mean tweets over what's happening now.Nobody persuadable is bothered by Trump's bombastic statements anymore, they care about the fact that they weren't having to pay for their groceries with a credit card when he was in office.
Somebody please make wojack art out of this.
Nobody can define what Kamala is or stands for. The best answer you'll get is "not Trump".Say you're an independent voter, you don't participate in politics that much, you don't talk about it to your family, you're not registered with any party, the most you do is every 4 years you go and vote for whatever politician you feel is the most comfortable for you.

Jamie is one of the big reasons I stopped watching JRE: he does not shut up and his takes are always retarded. He completely ruined Nick Di Paolo's appearance on Joe's podcast to promote A Breath of Fresh Air (which is a great special, by the way) by "fact-checking" Nick non-stop. I was surprised that Nick didn't get up and strangle Jamie.Jamie isn't going to say a god damn thing
