I mean people moving out and living on their own is a sign of economic prosperity and job opportunities. It was easy way easy back then, nowadays with homes being lesser then ever and heavy competition from migration how the hell will you make a living to get you out?

Colleges and universities are not cheap
There is no longer heavy emphasis on skill based hiring

Most of the cheap housing is in rural areas where all of these mid leftist and furries live in to the group homing. That's just pathetic.

Overall not a bad video. I've never played Silent Hill so I can't say anything about the remake itself, but I would agree with him that people should stop fanboying these series/companies and expecting them to not butcher the original game. I've had my fair share of experiences of seeing people act like they love a series when they've only played some remaster that doesn't understand the original experience and intent of the game.

This stuff with the Silent Hill 2 remake makes me wish Synthetic Man would review Persona 3 Reload (in hindsight) and Metaphor Refantasio. The censorship and the weird commie dogwhistles (there were a few in SMT V, and there's unironic "eat the bugs" shit in Metaphor) and the same people that wanted Hashino (the director of the Persona games, Catherine, Metaphor)'s head on a spike after being "transphobic" glazing Atlus games all of a sudden makes me think that Japanese games are just as buckbroken and dead as AAA ones. For as much shit as I give AAA games, at least the AAA ones don't ship with completely barebones PC ports and have waves of bootlickers on the Steam forums/reviews defending them.

Persona 3 Remake especially suffers from the same modern remake issues as other remakes, and just like SH2 remake, there's already idiots trying to gaslight others into thinking the original game was always shit.

A study has to be done on how modern game developers completely lie through their teeth. I sincerely hope Chinese and Korean games succeed and don't succumb to the mind virus bullshit that Japan's cuckold game industry has.

they always do something like this where they look at the original and go

Reminds me of that one scene with the dude melting at midnight in FES that for some reason got cut in the remake. Also that reminds me about how Atlus is too pussy to show the dude hanging in the beginning of Metaphor, it fades to black right beforehand.

Actually, now that I think about it, maybe this is bordering onto schizo territory, but what's with modern games and completely removing any sort of failure animations? The only games I can think of that had remotely interesting ones with actual consequence behind failing was Tomb Raider 2013 and The Calysto Protocol.

Even going back to something in the 2000's that isn't violent like SpongeBob BFBB, there were unique death and sinking animations, but you're telling me that The Cosmic Shake can only do a balloon Patrick picking SpongeBob up right before he's about to fall in goo? Something is up.

There's a bunch of comments that point out how shit this "4kids" version is so at least not everyone is completely cucked, hell even some say how cucked the entire game is compared to the original. I hate how common the mentality of "just turn your brain off" is otherwise. I mean fuck me I heard that shit at least a dozen times when I point out a single flaw in anything normie consoomers gargle and swallow religiously.

Do you agree with Synthetic Man's take that the devs made Eddie worse to demonise White men?


I think he's slightly reaching with it, I think the devs just had a different (or incorrect) interpretation of his character considering they made James more sympathetic as he pointed out later in the review and the other White characters don't appear to be demonised,
