Yeah I don't really get that impression either. He and his brother get along. His mom seems fine with him doing his thing. He goes to the gym regularly, has had a black gf, and probably has a pretty decent nest egg saved up from his YouTube shit.

I would actually say people are probably envious. He plays up the character a bit on stream and calls a spade a spade when he sees it. They're mad he is making a niche for himself without playing by the rules.

I was under the impression by multiple people in this thread that he was a doomer spare room dweller who hates his mother and had a somewhat complicated but still relatively loving relationship with his brother. Precisely. This is why I spoke about religion. It's almost as if this means our escapism will be "taken away from us" in order to focus on more important matters. I don't know, gut feeling perhaps. Not to deviate from the topic much, yet it's hard not to feel the nostalgia.

And yet I totally agree, the old graphics and PS1-like stuff, of seeing developers trying their best to give us the best they could back in 1994-1998. And yet the nostalgia of this era is overrun with cumbrained freaks that are good at programming, but - as I said, just so happened to have been... "lost" to pornography addiction and now are playing to another team. And they somehow are convinced they are women, and ruining the experience.

I feel like nothing will rid them, not even a crash. Perhaps an extinction-level event to reset society to a hunter-gather society will do it, because it almost has no explanation to it.

I haven't watched every stream but I have yet to get the impression he has any kind of strained relationship with his mom. She walked in on a stream once and he asked what was up and that was it.

People desperately want him to be pathetic but the guy is honestly not that bad off at all unless you consider living with your parents some kind of incredibly deep mark of shame.

He arguably has it pretty good, but at least going by his streams, he definitely has heavy depression issues, which have been affecting him slightly less since the start of his YouTube career for various reasons. By no means is he as miserable as the trannies and normalfags make it seem.

But yes, in many ways I feel people being nostalgic for the 1990s or 1980s and I can understand where some may come from, being that it may have been their childhood - yet they may forget that the 1990s was when "new atheism" was gaining ground. Synth leans a lot into the doomer loser angle for the edgy fun factor but you can see his inner normie come out every now and then like in his Spider-Man 2 video where he criticized shit like the game making you go on roller-coaster rides and bicycle trips with Harry as Peter by saying that people should stop vicariously living through video games and go out and do that stuff in real life. Basically telling fans who like that crap to touch grass.

I watched the Dead Rising video of his. Pretty damn good, and it's fair rather than just dogpiling the game.
I made my thoughts on the demake clear in the Dead Rising thread if you go back a few pages there, same thoughts that made a few people extremely angry for some reason. I haven't changed my opinion on the demake after watching the video.
I will say, as someone who easily has over a hundred hours on the original 360 version, watching the game in action just feels...wrong. I don't mean looking at the censorship or listening to the awful and wooden voice acting, I mean moment to moment gameplay. The animations are stiff, characters are ugly, locations look somehow worse despite the "better graphics", the whole game is jankier and glitchier than before...somehow, the demake isn't even more stable than a 20 year old game, and that's a fucking joke. The entire thing feels like a tech demo made by THAT MAN that Capcom hired for whatever reason. Well, him and a whole herd of ugly fucking reds, with noticeable "Chinese Quality" as Synth pointed out.
It's pathetic that the most technologically advanced game is still Dead Rising 3 from 11 years ago, a console generation old now. Just compare the two in action, it's not even close

Hell, the first game is more stable and works better in pretty much every regard except the graphics, and even that's wasted since everyone looks so old and ugly.

There's clip channel you can watch that sums up the highlights in his stream. I recommend Husky , bit of a coomer guy but synth is a coomer too (streamer reflect the viewers). Here's some of my favorite edits of his (yes, I think his sphere hunter x synth is funny but i'm not including that.
