Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

Unlike most of the transgender lolcows, Wu actually went through all the surgery and paperwork - probably because he's older than the Tumblr generation that thinks their unilateral gender proclamations should have the force of law. So, he's most likely got a fully valid set of "Brianna Wu, Female" papers he could legally submit.
Doesn't matter. If Wu is actually running, everything will come to light.

Yeah, but won't those forms all have "name(s) previously used" on them somewhere?

Well, everything already has come to light, more or less. I think if this hypothetical run ever happens, we'll see surprisingly little of it make its way out to the media though. Wu's shown herself surprisingly willing to play a double game - in private conversations with the admins of Reddit, Twitter, and so on she's absolutely willing to play the trans card, while insisting publicly that she's a true and honest female soul.
The lefty do-gooder types at major media outlets aren't going to want to open themselves to charges of "DOXING A BRAVE TRANSWOMAN TO HER GRAVE" just to report on some doomed vanity candidate.

Welp lads, Clinton News Network (archive) is carrying the """"""story""""".

2016, the year when lolcow news became national news.

The Hill is reporting her run as well, and used a screen grab from the internet ruined my life as the main image.

Lots of nice call-outs accruing in the comments.

edit: He's working on those sound bites.
Wu on VentureBeat said:
"Trump is terrifyingly now [sic] in the White House. I can't sit by making pleasant video game distractions for the next four years while the constitution [sic] is under assault."
Wu on CNN said:
"I'm not going to feel good about making games for the next four years with Donald Trump in the White House," Wu said. "I wouldn't feel good about making things to distract us when so many terrible things are going on."

Wu on VentureBeat said:
"We don't need more catered women in tech lunches, we don't need speeches."
Wu on DailyDot said:
“I don’t want catered lunches, I don’t want speeches about how much they care"

Oh, we also have a new "advisor," Danielle Citron. They did a speaking gig at MIT together, and some podcast.

Of course this is a lie. The funny thing is that she didn't need to lie. There are no residency requirements for Congress in the state of Massachusetts.

If she isn't running against Clark, who could she possibly run against? There are only 3 other districts near her and the city of Boston.

7th District Mike Capuano - This is northern part of the Boston and some suburbs. He's really liberal and part of the Progressive Caucus. He's also been in office since 1999 and incredibly popular in the district. No one even bothered to run against him this year.

4th District Joseph Kennedy - I know Wu is dumb but she couldn't be dumb enough to think she could beat a Kennedy in the State of Massachusetts, right? He received 98.6% of the vote in last election primary. Also the people of South Boston don't seem to be the demographic Wu is going to cater to.

6th District Seth Moulton - One of the rising stars of the Democratic Party. If Wu is going to run on tech, good luck running against a guy with a Physics degree from Harvard. He's also a Marine with four tours in Iraq under his belt. Imagine Wu complaining about people calling her names on Twitter next to this guy:

Anyways, Wu has no intention of running for anything . She is just milking this for some attention now that her game turned out to be a giant failure and not even the garbage clickbait sites will pay her for "journalism". In a year when deadlines start approaching we'll get a "I decided not to run because of death threats and fear for my safety" diatribe. Congress is the big leagues and a lazy, unemployed college flunky would get smashed by established candidates with powerful people backing them.

One possible funny scenario is if Wu chooses to use this scam to get more money, she would be on the hook with the FEC. So if she mentions this in a Patreon, Kickstarter, or just solicits donations for a campaign, it counts as raising funds she has to register with the FEC. I believe the threshold is $5,000 and that becomes public record. It would be funny if her dumb farce cost Frank a bunch of money having to file some meaningless FEC paperwork for a race she doesn't even run in.

I listened to her latest Podcast (condolences welcome), and on it Bri says she's planning to run in Mass' 8th Congressional District. The current rep. is Dem. Stephen Lynch, considered socially conservative. Pro-life, but also pro same-sex marriage. On the podcast Bri called him terrible or horrible or something.

ETA: Lynch has been in office for 14 years or so, and won the last general election 76%-24%. So, safe to say he's fairly popular.

That is the duty of all citizens.

And yanno, our duty is fulfilled by just laughing at this chopped cock faggot and calling him John every day.

He will never be elected to any office, ever.

You say that, but we've had equally-crazy contenders run.

Also, she didn't vote in 2016, according to our records.

Oops.

is it :optimistic: to hope for Evanescence to provide the soundtrack to anti-Wu attack ads?
They're not going to be silly. I'm going to do this cut and dry but brutal as hell. My goal is to make sure that the majority of the ad is Wu talking, especially where camera work is involved. Wu is genuinely unsettling to look at and listen to, and that alone should be enough.

Local Spots
Most television stations offer two minutes of local advertising per hour, giving small businesses a more affordable way use TV ads as part of their marketing strategy. Rates vary depending on the time of day and year as well as your location. If your target market is most likely to see your ad during the local news at noon, you may pay anywhere from $200 to $1,500 for a 30-second spot during that time, says Entrepreneur. Commercials that run between the prime viewing hours between 6 to 7 p.m. cost the most.

This will be simple. We strike a few weeks or months before the Democratic primary in 2018, run a few high quality precision ads that make Wu look detached from reality and the Massachusetts people, and we :story: while he freaks out on Twitter about misogyny. It's gonna be yuge.
