I am theorizing at this point that Rev reads the farms to keep up with the Sweet Baby culture war shit. Why? This:
The Alyssa Mercante vs the Ori and the Blind Forest developer drama. It's around the same time the farms noticed it.
The video itself is going over the tweets and replies, what lead up to it, and generally dunking on Alyssa. Now that's fine in theory, Alyssa is no friend of the farms, fuck her. But it's the connection of these threads that makes me suspicious of him using the Farms as a source. This further reinforces the theory that he's aware of this thread and has toned down his Loli content as such.
Next video is his most recent:
129k views in less than a day. I listened to all of it. Basically company worked with Sweet Baby, and he's predicting it will flop. Objectively the video was actually informative. He didn't talk about loli or any of that. There was some gloating about the game's downfall, but in general he was on topic. I think this serves to show that he IS intelligent enough to stay on topic and produce decent news when he wishes to, and that his insertion of loli is deliberate.

My problem with the DEI debate is that those games mostly fail because those games suck on a gameplay or gamedesign lvl. And not, because the characters in it aren't hot enough for people like Rev.
And as much as I dislike Sweet Baby Inc. it isn't their fault alone when big gaming companies realise slop after slop. Investors only care about recent gaming trends instead of listening to the gamedevs on what kind of games they want to produce. Top that with crunch culture and companies like Microsoft buying and closing game studios at will and you have a recipe for disaster.
But then reading or listening what gamedevs actually say is to much work for grifters like Rev.

It's a chicken-and-egg situation. Do game companies release bad games on purpouse, to later use woke politics as a way to blind themselves aganist the criticism coming from the more progressive elements in society? Or do these people hire extremely woke individuals, even in lieu of their actual talent, as a way to court said progressive elements and get them to buy their games? Games like Stellar Blade, despite the massive nontroversy surrounding them, are still mid at best, and having a playable character that doesn't look like a blow-up doll wouldn't significantly change that fact. Other games like BG III are extremely woke, but still possess rather good gameplay elements, which caused it to become an actual hit.
While I would say that, if you actually care about all of these culture wars, you shouldn't buy BG III out of principle, I can still admit that it is not a bad game, specially not when compared to what the rest of the medium is nowadays

For Rev, it's a easy scapegoat. Just in the last week, looking at his videos, he has cracked 1 million views. Now some of it is true I'd argue. But as you said, a lot of it comes down to a game being not fun to play. This nuance isn't what his audience wants to hear however. They just want to be mad and CONSOOM.

This isn't about female characters not being made sexy enough, it's about companies pushing Niggers and Troons in every game and if you say this on social media you get banned, which is why people pretend it's about something else.
So I don't know how to break it to you buddy but Niggers and Troons don't sell and the people pushing for Niggers and Troons are also mentally retarded and very difficult to work with.
These pushers are very agressive to people who do not like to see Niggers and Troons and are behaving in a demented way on social media towards the clients of these companies.
This means that working with them in the office, if you're a talented designer or coder is most likely akin to hell on earth, since no matter how good you are at your job they will always be viewed as aristocracy and as being better than you.
In turn all the good people leave from the company eventually and you end up with lovers of Niggers and Troons that cannot make a good product, which is where the bugs you are talking about come from.
Defending this is unaceptable, both logical and in principle.
In principle it goes without saying that nobody should defend Niggers and Troons.
Logical if you are to tell me how an asian game that has a character in a body suits with bouncy cleavege is a problem because it's degenerate while defending the western goy slop where you have actual sex scenes, penis sliders and people fucking bears then I have to question if you don't happen to be a furry faggot at this point.
In conclusion. If the west insists on making love to Niggers and Troons then they are just pushing the young generation into the hands of Asia for there is no way Genshin Impact would have been this popular if it came out during the height of western products like world of warcraft.

Yes, but the people who live off of grifting with these types of videos don't care one bit about niggers or troons. That's why Rev always brings up how X anime girl got covered up so that she doesn't look like a prostitute, or that the loli of the week now has a less prominent presence in the anime/has different lines in the dub/whatever. I think you are looking at the problem the wrong way. It is irelevant if The Quarterpounder Or Rev actually cares about these issues. The fact that they have millions of people subscribed to them that do tells you that the market itself cares enough. Meanwhile the accounts that push FOR Niggers and Troons do not get any traction at all unless they are pushed by an algorythm.
From what I see on the forums that I go to, the reason people care about anime so much is that they see it as the West trying to bring Niggers and Troons into anime, and according to some studios and activists they actually are.

Seeing that their subscribers and backers were eager to praise and buy woke propaganda like Baldur's Gate 3 (I don't care if it's the best RPG since FF7 or what have you, it's still propaganda), or mid games like Howard's Legacy (maybe by Warner Bros., a company that, like every large company, pushes for niggers and trannies, and which is even more involved in the culture wars than many thanks to Cartoon Network) just because troons were mad at it (even despite the game having a character voiced by a troon). Upon rewatching the series, I can firmly say that if you try to argue that Rebecca is a "loli" you are utterly delusional. She's short, has a small titty size, and that's all that you could possibly say that would lend credibility to her being simply underage. Absolutely NOTHING about her says "loli" at all.

As a long time animeshit watcher and someone who knows absolutely nothing about Rev except what I've casually seen here, he's not entirely wrong about the term "loli" having it's meaning change, at least in western anime circles. I don't speak Japanese so I can't tell how liberal the translators are being, but this all applies to even the subbed versions. Some specific evidence can be seen in DanMachi, season one I think, where Hephaestus(the blacksmith god), again I think, called Hestia something like "big-boob loli", admittedly it was in a friendly teasing manner but it was still used. I'm going off vague memory of the little I watched of that series, and clips I've seen. Another example can be seen in Steins;Gate 0 where the professor is referred to as a "legal loli", by Okabe thinking about how his otaku friend would describe her. I believe in Gate Rory was called a "loli" as well. I'm unsure on any of the original works using the term that way, but these anime go back to 2015, and I know the roots for this change date back further then this. Less specifically Tatsumaki from One Punch Man is often called a "loli" at least by fans of the show despite being drawn and portrayed quite clearly as a short, petite adult. Even before that the lines had been being blurred by terms like "legal loli, and "goth loli".
I know this will come off as me defending this nonsense and Rev in general so I'll add this. I have always refused to accept the change and find it an absolutely retarded one to make and push. The only reason I remember this much is because I've had this stupid argument, on the losing side, that being "loli" is a child(girl), enough times that I've just given up on fighting against the retardation. I am fairly certain this change is overall just from a passive use of add on terms to describe specific tropes. "Oppai loli"(or some variation) instead of the more traditional english shortstack, "goth loli" as an easier way to describe a person wearing gothic lolita fashion, "legal loli" instead of short, petite woman. Those are just the most comon ones I remember there are plenty more but I think that gets my point across on how we got to the retarded point where "loli" can mean a body type. I can also understand how younger people could view loli as a body type, and why people outside current anime circles see it as a child, the correct meaning. But that's just how language changes I suppose, for better or worse I doubt this is going to go away and I genuinely don't believe most people use the "loli is a body type" to hide pedophilic tendencies.
Basically the western usage of loli has changed over the past 30 or so years to also include a "body type", and as far as I'm aware Rebecca would fit that new meaning perfectly. Go ahead call me delusional, I've just given up on arguing the losing side of the debate as it's a hopeless, impossible task to stem the flow of time.

My final statement is this after further thought: the character is fine. Rev and the lolicons claiming her is not.
