My favorite is the fucking "a real journalist never interrupts" despite thousands doing that to Trump regularly.
You'd be hard pressed to find an interview where they *didn't* interrupt Trump, and pretty much every other right of center politician as well for that matter.

What -I- do not get is her refusal to talk policy. That is clearly the point of the media blitz but she just. never. does. And it is not a -lack- of policy either, she can bullshit whatever the hell she wants. hell she could cite her "80 points" verbatim. No. this is purely a Harris issue. The woman just cannot get policy out, my best guess is her mind just utterly blanks as soon as it comes up.
My assumption is that, considering the time she came out with price control of some sort I think and was rightfully mocked, there is the Policy She's Been Told To Talk (all lies, or at least not what she wants to do, but largely electable) and the Policy She Wants To Do (her true feelings, but will lose her the election because it's blatantly awful/outside of what the party's voters want/will provoke a knee-jerk response).

The former is what she's drilled on, but she can't remember it in even the slightest pinch and keep her momentum going - and as a presidential candidate, on the back foot, she's under pressure 24/7. The latter is things she could say while keeping the momentum going, but it's blatantly awful stuff, and she's been firmly pressured not to say anything like that. There may be some overlap, but not anything she can pick apart safely in the moment. So when the pressure builds, she can neither say what she wants, nor what she has to.

And unfortunately, the Dems have spent the last 8 years conditioning every single one of them with a default response in that situation: Orange Man Bad. Everyone else has spent eight years building up a tolerance at best, and an instinctive revulsion at worst, to exactly that response. So Harris locks up, defaults to the basic output, and everyone else calls her out or sees straight through it.

No, unfortunately American news is, on an average day based on current factors and info, more akin to spineless shills fellating Kamala's girldick for 40 minutes, some ad breaks, then if people who watch the news are lucky, they'll refuse to shut the fuck up about Orange Man for 29 minutes instead of 30. Maybe that's being too generous, so I'll say that number can also be 49 minutes and 50 minutes.
So the options are red tinted goyslop or blue tinted goyslop? What a world!

Could it simply be a case of her being terrified about being called out over a lie? Basically gets caught out and doesn't want to begin trying to dig herself out of the hole or obfuscate/distract it away. Everything suggested to date indicates she's terrible with criticism and there's no higher pressure situation than publicly twisting a called out lie into a palatable soundbite.
Who would fact check her? What would there -be- to fact check? Just a boiler plate response of "I have reexamined my positions in the light of the last 8 years and...."

And just repeat that line anyone calls her on it. Does she have a position that was bad then? She 'reexamined it'.

Notice, it doesn't say changed, just reexamined. Allowing it to pull double duty of assuring people who like what she actually believes while also throwing a bone to those who want -something-. Its the kind of double talk that should come naturally to any politician.

This is as good an explanation as any. Hell probably the best provided so far. Thought it still has issues namely around "how". Even in completely friendly environments where the 'interviewer' is outright working for her. If they had a set of policies she is supposed to be saying why not hand them off to the friendly press and let them lead her straight to it?

I'm more thinking that she picked him while Obama wanted Shapiro.
Not according to poso

I don't think that ai video I posted earlier is accurate. I think there's an above average chance Biden and or Obama accidentally said something or someone important.

Obama's not happy but he's not scolding Biden. I think they actually let slip some crucial stuff out in the open.

One of the most wild screw ups I've ever heard came recently from poso saying OBAMA was the one to pick Walz. That's a level of fuck up that is unbelievable and if true makes me realize how stupid he really is if he wasn't sabotaging her.
Eric Holder chose Walz. Or at least that's the official narrative. I believe the rumors that Walz was at the bottom of the list and the only one willing to accept the job. Shapiro, Whitmer, and Newsome are all politically savvy enough to sit this one out and wait for a fresh start in 2028 without the baggage of the Biden Administration or having to spar with Trump.

I was on pReddit earlier tonight and this was the top post on the r/adviceanimals sub. Had no idea people still made this painfully unfunny shit, let alone tried to pass it off as humor. Naturally, all the top comments are barking and clapping like circus seals at le epic pwnage Kamala got on Drumpf, so I guess this is where all the real retards of the site congregate.

They're stuck in 2011

Didn't they try that in the debate and fail? I remember that being a thing, where Harris was extremely noncommital throughout the entire debate and still didn't say anything.

My assumption is three things. One, she has been in that pressure-cooker state since day one of her campaign. She was a panic pick by a dying campaign to keep things together, she never won a primary or anything. So the pressure has been at max level and hasn't stopped since day one. So there's never an interview that's friendly enough for her to get her guard down, because she's already operating at stressed-out peak.

Two, they desperately, desperately want and need a soundbite of her saying something. They need her to say it, naturally, coherently, and completely, of her own volition. If they lead her too much to the question, she will see that they're doing that, and just go 'yes, yes, yes, exactly. That's my thoughts exactly.' and that's not what they want. They want it to come from her own mouth, so they can run to all the ads with that. But that's not what Harris wants to/can do.

And three, she's probably still getting conflicting messages. I recall a few weeks ago there was talks of boomers in her campaign team telling her not to get out on stage, and gen z's in her campaign team telling her to get out there as much as possible. So she's defaulting to letting every interview be a nothing burger - popping out there and saying nothing - because it's the only way to at least partially satisfy the ridiculous conditions she's set for herself.

because of the interview earlier i was looking back at kamala's record and i am 100% sure they had to rig the vote for her to win in her 2010 attorney general election. it was a huge tidal wave for democrats that year in california, all of the rest of them winning by double digits and she couldn't win whatsoever,
'm actually surprised, I think everyone expected Bret to go super easy on her, but he asked good questions and pushed her when she gave shit answers.
these are tee ball questions, its just that she's that bad at her job "hey what does your campaign slogan mean" would be seen for the basic question it is if she couldn't answer it. "when did you realize biden wasn't fit for the job" is another lay up. It honestly reminds me of the Daily Show interview with the bitch in charge of obamacare the day before it went live, where even jon told the camera he was really worried afterwards, to be so combative about a question almost as easy to answer as "what is your name and what do you do" gives off alarm bells to anyone with even a child's level of social awareness.
"you know what I am talking about"
i wouldn't be shocked at this point if kamala said "donald trump is like a cop at dennys"
They did not plan this
they did not plan for someone asking "do you think we should pay for trannies to rape our kids?" or even remotely have an answer to that?
How did she end up like this?
you know how on american idol auditions someone just is awful as shit and goes "but all my friends and family say i'm an amazing singer and could be the next jessica simpson" its like that, kamala didn't realize she was in an echo chamber. people don't want to tell people, especially a token minority how fucking stupid they really are. that's why you'll have guys like Donald Glover being told they're a genuis for realizing you can get good at basketball by practicing it.
6 figures hiring people to astroturf on Reddit to help her win.
thats literally nothing compared to the results, thats amazing. honestly surprised more people don't astroturf the site if its that cheap and easy. it doesn't matter the company or product if it gets as obnoxiously dominant on a site as big as reddit was in 2016 fuck year i'd spend less than a million to do it.
This is her "Why am I not 50 points ahead?!" moment, except it's 20+ minutes long instead of just a damning soundbite.
this is part of why i like her, hilary was pissed she wasn't winning, Kamala has that whole millennial "yeah i know i suck too please go easy on me i'm a smol princess" mentality. like if you ever had a female boss that was clearly not a girlboss but more of a "on the verge of a breakdown on her best day" style boss. like i'm sure kamala knew she probably would lose aganist trump, but has been hoping for a win for awhile now. If you read articles about her primary run, it really was like someone wants power but doesn't have motivation or drive or confidence. She reminds me of Meghan Merkle, she wants the title and perks just not the work.
which allowed him to win
imagine thinking the democrats needed to cheat to win against a republican in illinois, the last time a republican won a senate race at that point in the super safe blue state of illinois was the fucking 70s.
to be trans you just put on a muumuu.
and to be muslim you either need a headscarf or a tan and gold chain or grow your hair out.
And I can totally picture Joe Rogan canceling the Trump interview if Kamala backs out to appear "unbiased."
why the fuck do people assume it would be a pre-election interview? i know it might "help" trump but at this point with his polls, i'd do a post election interview on rogan. especially with the chances of it being taken from him, do it in November so at minimum he can dish out the facts of the current "stop the steal" nonsense while they're happening instead of years down the line. plus its harder for Joe to say no when it can't really effect trump's election chances and he's a literal lame duck.

Also the technical answer to the question of "what the fuck should they have done" is plain and simple: videos from the basement, the same way they did with Biden except because she's still young she can at least tiktok dance and do the same stupid videos they had barack and biden doing in the 2010s. This is literally off the top of my head but her doing her own variation of the intro from fresh prince of bel air rapping how she became the candidate would be neat and "on premise" and in general making her entire campaign lean heavily on "black girl magic" might at least trick people into thinking she's competent.
For what its worth I can back him on this though, the rumors out of her campaign right now are -wild-
its fucking bullshit how we got "game change" out of a smaller scenario happening in 2008 with Palin, but dem fuck ups are never talked about. in general the left is never fucking mocked but between this and the failure of the new show from the "veep" guy about the MCU its starting to become obnoxious.
