2023 Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict

the only thing i'm anxious about now is the fact that we've been told for the past year that the bibas children and other "high worth" hostages were being kept with him as a security measure. the fact the idf haven't announced any civilian deaths in his death is the only thing giving me hope, and I'm praying that doesn't change. B'H.

that's the one i've seen floating around.

Here's a new one (also NSFL)

Just search "Sinwar" on X, plenty of people are sharing pictures of his rat corpse.

Judging by that hole in his head they were making sure he couldn’t even come back as a zombie.

Well done, Israeli Kiwi bros! You got him!

Yeah that nigga is dead dead

Actually what watch is that?

The current report is that he was leaving a tunnel to either leave the Gaza strip and smuggle himself across the Egyptian border or was going to meet with one of his contacts on the surface. and then a IDF squad kind of saw a group of heavily armed Hamas guys walk into a building and then directed a tank to fire on the building and then they found out they killed them. they legitimately did not realize they killed him until they went through the rubble and found his body. :story:

Give it to me straight; is this significant, or yet another "TOP [TERRORIST ORGANIZATION] LEADER KILLED IN DRONE STRIKE (six more take their place)"
It is both. Cue the next round of Gaza's Next Top Hamas Leader.

But also this guy both came up with the idea for the attack that started all this, and for decades been sort of Hamas' most hardline dude, sometimes to what could fairly be called psychotic levels. Think of this as killing Bin Laden, but if Bin Laden still had a deep active role in his org.

IMO, this guy would never ever ever have done a peace deal of any sort, nor would Israel have dealt with him. So mid-long term it might be good?

Sinwar was definitely a special case. Maybe someone else will still take his place, but he was more extreme and more effective than most Palestinian leaders. Importantly, he'll be hard to replace ATM.

im not saying youre wrong, I just find funny seeing the double standards with all the protests in the west and political leaders from the west saying what theyre saying about the conflict while just a few years ago they were carpet bombing hospitals with no care in the world.
the elephant in the room that you are missing is that ISIS (while it was active) was basically public enemy number one for most of the world. all western states and all muslim states universally condemned ISIS and declared them a group of terrorist outlaws. this consensus was almost universal, even most other radical islamists and jihadists opposed and condemned ISIS. that's why nobody gave a shit about the details regarding how the war was conducted.

with the gaza war this situation is very different. palestine/hamas has a significant base of supporters and sympathizers across the world, who have all been screeching about EVIL JEW WAR CRIMES REEEE non stop since october 2023. that's why there's so much more scrutiny on the idf now than there was on coalition troops back during the ISIS war.

according to israel? this is a big deal, complete justification for all of their potential war crimes, proving israel is number one globally and a shining beacon for global hegemony

in reality? hamas has like 500 members or something, right? another palestinian will take his place. it's not like they're allowed to leave

What's up with autists thinking another copy-paste jihadist can replace one of the most influential Palestinian killers? Sinwar studied Israeli society and politics from prison, he strangled and murdered Palestinians who were either gay or straight up suspected of collaboration with Israel. Guy was nicknamed "The Butcher of Khan Yunis" because he operated a secret police within Gaza that brutally murdered anyone who ever dared to cross him. He orchestrated one of the biggest and bloodiest wars in recent history that turned Gaza into dust and other AoR countries rattled by Israeli response.

But nah, replace him Abdul the local cleric who once threw a stone at an Israeli tank. Surely these shoes aren't too big to fill anyways!
