I laughed at this too. Jesus, imagine the spectacle. "Don't mind me, professor" as she turns from pooner pink to deep purple. "No, please go on with your lecture!" As a Munchie, I'm kinda surprised she didn't want to do that - would get great attention, even if it's negative - but it sounds like she really doesn't want to go to class and that flipping upside-down needlessly is definitely incredibly uncomfortable.

She complains that the professor suggested she withdraw when other students would get a lowered letter grade. She finds this unfair. However, I'm guessing it's one of those situations where he lowers you by a letter grade after X number of absences. He's suggesting she withdraw because he doesn't see her situation changing and her attendance improving like other student's attendance might after a rocky start. He's honestly trying to do her a service, but obviously she can't see it that way, or is willfully misrepresenting the situation for gibs.

Late reply but I came into this thread recently and 100% agree with this. My mother got prescribed prednisone a few years back, and the prednisone itself immediately started causing hives and other allergic reactions in her body, so she got off of it right away. I'm borderline wondering if some of this creature's allergies might actually be real, but they're a result of the prednisone absolutely destroying their body.

Victim Markoff continues to pretend she has any intention of graduating when she can’t even get through a single semester without throwing a tantrum at the professors, her parents, and anyone with the audacity to hold the door open for her. And as a “disability advocate” cannot even fucking fill out the necessary paperwork to get accommodated with all the goodies they give to people with disabilities. Her professor is right, she should just drop out instead of wasting everyone’s time and money. This is likely her last “attempt” at any sort of real-world function or progress before she declares she is just too much of an uwu poor victim for any sort of adulthood. But the sort of accommodations she wants are for people who are trying to contribute to society but just need a little extra help, instead of those who only want to live off other people forever.

This is why I would argue, while Victim is clearly a munchie, her primary prognosis is that she is a malingerer. She does not want to put any real effort into anything or take real responsibility for her actions. Munchies, for all their insanity and abuse of the medical system, I will give a sliver of credit for in that what they do for attention is almost impressive in regards to the effort and genius they put into it. Stuff like infecting their tubes with feces, picking at skin until they need to amputate their limbs, knowing how to poison themselves just to the brink of death. Victim can’t do that because it would be too hard and she is also not really all that smart. She is an aging young adult who found out early that she can start claiming problems to get out of doing anything and chose to keep up the charade even though it obliterated all of her relationships and relegated herself to more begging than a gas station fent addict.

Yeah she says her chair can turn her upside down if she has a POTS episode (while sitting doing nothing? Idk). It's a pretty neat munchie party trick - I bet others are really envious of that toy she got her hands on.

I CALLED this shit. First off, it's been like two weeks? Three weeks? If she was in really dire straits, things might have happened by now. But I think obviously they've determined with her Manhattan apartment, ALLOWANCE (nice slip), and NYU resources she is at the bottom of the proverbial pile. And if they DO get her help, they will have definitely determined that she is of sound mind and can hire her own IHSS worker like they expect 85% of their clients to do. I'm not saying it's a great system - it's near impossible to find a good IHSS worker in a lot of places - but it's what it is for folks as capable as Vicky. She really thought she'd call APS and they'd be all "Certainly, Mr. Markhoff, a fully registered nurse will be there tomorrow from 6AM-9PM. I have a feeling we'll see an actual shelter saga by December. I think she'll do it initially acting like it's a spite move and thinking that this is what will make daddy send more money, but will quickly realize no one cares enough about her as an individual to individually save her. The allowance is probably a printing allowance. You usually have to pay per page, and you have a little fund to top up for printing.

If she's expecting the government to provide her with free maid service (non-Canadian), that's just entitled.

If she's wanting someone to come bathe her, or if she's saving up all her butt-wiping for when the aide is on duty, that's more disturbing but also shows more commitment to the con.
