Post videos of people dying - Self explanatory really

I can’t load the damn video.
Oh, don't get me wrong, it's not gory or anything like that... (Or, at least, I didn't SEE anything gory...) Just a VERY weird automotive accident that really does look like an act of God... Hope you're able to see it & laugh at my pussy-ass self... ;)

Maybe I'm just getting old but there's something fucked about how much gore and raw war footage is just freely shared on Twitter, TikTok and other social media sites with no warning or filter. I'm old enough to remember when the 144p Saddam Hussein execution video was shared around school for shock value. Either that or the odd rare beheading video from the first and second Chechen wars. Now, there are cartel videos, crime scene photographs, school shootings, the aftermath of Ukrainian and Russian drone strikes, Syrian civil war, Isis videos, dead Palestinian kids...the list goes on. Pure sadistic violence with no filter.

It's educational, to know how the world really is. But I can't help feel a bit shocked by how casual it is now, to the point where I see an image like that dead Hamas leader and sort of shrug it off.

Back in my day, I was the weirdo for watching gore. I think because I'm an old user of Bestgore, I treated it more along the lines of uncensored news, since Mark Marek would always treat the posts like news articles, and he only ever had jokes about things like how often people dying in Brazil were named Da Silva, or how cartels had shitty knives. So other people's death and suffering was never really celebrated or mocked except for rare circumstances were it was an exceptionally shitty individual.

Now-a-days, though? It's treated like porn by an alarming amount of people. Something to get off to. Something to be gawked at, joked about, laughed at, and celebrated. This goes double for any video related to war or law enforcement because 99 times out of 100 the person dying or suffering is dehumanized to the point of absurdity. There's even someone in my class at university like this. Went around showing the pager videos to everyone while laughing his ass off. The guy is one of those manchildren who thinks he's hard. I don't know if that's a common thing because I don't personally know anyone else like it. But I'm convinced you'd have to be extremely sheltered from conflict to end up this way.

Robots in Chinese factory get a triple kill. Some of the most Chinese shit I’ve seen in ages.
It takes 15 seconds to download and repost the clip you are linking.

Comes back to run his pockets. Just another day in Wakanda.

I'd say its the opposite. Extreme violence and gore, and bad shit in general has always been prevalent throughout human history. Having dark humor about it is a coping mechanism. I mean, how many bar fights back in the day ended in somebody getting stabbed and bleeding out on the floor? How often was it for travelers on the road to be attacked by bandits? How often were you at war, how often did the tribe/nation next door send a raiding party to attack your town, or you did the same to them? And that's not to mention how often people died in workplace accidents. Or were attacked by wild animals.

Here's some vids of idiots falling mainly.
