The best thing about that election cycle is how her camp basically treated it like a coronation. This really needs to be stressed for people who were too young then to understand what's going on. "It's her turn" and everything. I remember all news outlets and statistics places treating her winning the election as certain, up until the day before she lost. According to the polling, she had it in her pocket. I talked to an acquaintance the day before and I told him Trump will win this or it'll at least be very, very close. He believed the media and laughed at me. These people were completely incapable of reading the room and understanding just how completely and utterly unlikeable and establishment and "we are your betters" she came across. Even the most die-hard democrats had not much to say about Hillary Clinton besides "at least she is not Trump". Hillary Clinton has a hard time being in the same room as people without a multi-million stock portfolio and not being visibly uncomfortable. She is an absolute ghoul. I'm not even exaggerating, I remember quite a bit of meme material from the time where she tried to act like a normal human and failed. That's how unlikeable she is. Trump was the wildcard then. Many people did not really know him besides his TV circuit. It wasn't as much in the public eye what a fraudster he is as it is now, and all the shit he pulled around his presidency hasn't even happened then. He promised to shake things up. Sadly he was, well, Trump.

It should never be forgotten that Trump and the Clintons ran in the same social circles in the 90s (insert your own Epstein comment) and I honestly don't think there's any personal animosity between them. He and Hillary recognize each other as the same kind of grifters, they just took different paths. Trump inherited daddy's money and spent years making shady real estate deals and Hillary married a charismatic hick and rode his back to a political career. If you really dig into the Clintons' history (I recommend Christopher Hitchens's book No One Left To Lie To for anyone who's interested) you see that they are every bit the corrupt, soulless shitheads that Trump is. Bill had this whole "aw shucks, I'm just common folk" act and pretended to care about black people. But he refused to commute the death sentence of Rickey Ray Rector, who had an IQ of 60 and was so incapable of understanding what was going on that before his execution he didn't eat his dessert and told the guards he was "saving it for later." Both of them pretended to be feminists but Clinton was a legit serial sexual predator. When he was governor he had the state police out trolling for pussy for him. Literally. When state troopers would pull over a hot woman they would tell her that they'd let her out of the speednig ticket if they went and fucked the governor. And Hillary's reaction to Bill sexually assaulting women was to personally order the media to smear their reputations and ruin their lives. Paula Jones accused the president of rape and the media's reaction was to make fun of the size of her nose and her accent.
Don't get me wrong, I hate all politicians and I think at least 90% of them are exactly like this. Kamala is obviously pandering to 2A types when she's bragging about owning a gun. And choosing Waltz was a blatant move to ease the fears of middle American white dudes (although I gotta admit that Waltz seems pretty sincere about his beliefs). And as I said before, I hold the Dems responsible for the first Trump presidency. They could have nominated almost anyone else except Hillary and won easily. They deserved to lose for their arrogance of trying to shove her down our throats.

Anyway, I only recently learned about Trump's connection to Roy Cohn. For the uninitiated Cohn was a world class shitbag. Lead prosecutor in the McCarthy anti-Communism hearings that destroyed dozens of innocent people's lives. Used sleazy tactics to get Julius and Ethel Rosenberg sent to the chair. Later represented such upstanding characters as John Gotti. He was later disbarred for trying to trick a dying client to change their will and leave all of their money to him. Cohn was also responsible for convincing Eisenhower to ban gays from being federal employees, which led to several former employees committing suicide. The irony of course was that Cohn himself was a deeply closeted gay man (RIP Norm) and died of AIDS. But he was so deep in the closet that he insisted up until the end that he had liver cancer (lulz).
Trump was one of Cohn's later clients and considered Cohn a mentor. Supposedly Trump was the last person to speak to Cohn before he died (of liver cancer, definitely not from the AIDS that he got from fucking tons of dudes). I'm really suprised people aren't making more of this connection (I assume it's covered in The Apprentice, but I haven't seen it). I find this fascinating and I think Trump is taking a lot of his playbook from McCarthyism. And Trump's obsession with potraying himself as a traditional masculine man and his homophobia are really interesting in light of his friendship with a guy who was gay and died of AIDS that he got from fucking dudes. Cohn once said "homosexual teachers are a grave threat to our children" and Trump is basically saying the same shit about trans school nurses (I guess? I don't actually know what the fuck he's talking about there). Cohn was obviously projecting, who knows maybe Trump is too. Someone once claimed that Cohn was attracted to young blonde men. Trump is more or less blonde and you have to admit that he was handsome when he was younger. I guarantee Cohn wanted to fuck him. I would love to see someone ask Trump if his relationship with Cohn was more than platonic and watch him have an aneurysm.

From what I’ve seen and heard, most of the fed talk centers around Ray Epps. The guy was talking about going inside the Capitol, and at the hearings, video was brought up of him talking to somebody before that person charged at a barricade. MAGA says he was directing the operatives he was working with to start their storming/false flag. And Ted Cruz asked a lot of questions about Ray Epps.
