It's the east coast variant of Blue Texas. Zealous Dems believe it will inevitably turn blue and stay blue in the same way as Virginia while ignoring how the internal immigration to the state and changing party loyalties are affecting things. Add on the skewed mainstream polls eager to play up Harris and shouldn't be too surprising why the true believers think it's in play. North Carolina may flip in the future, but it won't be this cycle and will be accompanied by similar flips in the Rust Belt.I keep seeing people on Twitter (beyond low IQ I know) cawing about how NC is totally turning blue this year. When did NC suddenly become the big deal this election, even before the hurricane hit?
“YOU’RE GOING TO WEAR THE HAT ELLISH!! WEAR THE HAT OR THE CONTRACT’S GONE! NOW STAND NEXT TO THE EMHOFFS. THAT’S THE GOOOD SINGER-SONGWRITER I KNOW…”
Why not do it now? Hell why did it take so long in the first place, why didn't you notice this 4+ years ago?The fix is in at MI.
"Democrat officials say they'll purge over 600,000 'inactive voters' after this election."

That's not a bug, it's a feature. Also, not to be "that guy", (even though I'm totally about to be that guy XD,) but racism isn't a "right wing" thing, the Liberals are the real racists.Going off on a tangent here, but does the politics thread feel kind of more 'liberal" than the rest of A&N and Deep Thoughts? By more liberal I mean less /pol/ish/Stormfrontey. I mean yeah this place is still pretty right wing, and racism is still accepted but I rarely see the "all non whites and gays should be exterminated" type posts that's typical on Deep Thoughts and news article comments.
Good thing people are clowning on AP for it
That's because we are focused on the election here. If we were frequently posing articles about trooner groomers or lunchtime rowdies commiting crimes in this thread thr tone would be the same as the rest of A&H.Going off on a tangent here, but does the politics thread feel kind of more 'liberal" than the rest of A&N and Deep Thoughts? If no one in the rural districts can vote, then the cities decide the state. And the cities are bugman hives, filled with rigging assholes and political operatives.I keep seeing people on Twitter (beyond low IQ I know) cawing about how NC is totally turning blue this year. One of the primary symptoms of Trump Derangement Syndrome is being totally unable to identify that you are afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Why not do it now? Hell why did it take so long in the first place, why didn't you notice this 4+ years ago?
I've had my name bungled enough times that I get a good chuckle out of it and simply shake my head at most. I imagine most reasonable people react similarly when this isn't done deliberately.Hey, we're twinsies! I, too, have a name that no one ever spells or pronounces correctly. I learned from a young age not to take it personally.
You can't quote a quote to create a nested quote and the original post can't be replied to via the buttons because it's too long. If you want to pull in a quote from it, select the text you're interested in, quote it with the floating buttons and then insert it in the WYSIWYG editor.Quoting you because I can't seem to quote the Johnny Bravo post you're quoting for some reason. (Actually it might be a different post, but whatever at this point, it's still the same)
Ironically, being able to take what Trump says seriously as his word is arguably one of his strongest aspects. I believe Trump wants to do things he says, whether he gets them done, or is convinced otherwise in the future is another story. He comes off honest, where someone like Kamala comes off horrifically dishonest and untrustworthy. Do I think Kamala will get in and do anything about the border? Not really. Is she saying it just for votes? Yeah most likely. If she wins and proves me wrong by fixing the border, then that's a good thing, but that doesn't I think it's even close to likely.
I mean, Euro news outlets use RCP polling aggregation as a source for headline news about the US election, so this is openly done with ill intent by Wikipedia.I wish people would just stop using Wikipedia so it would go away, it's been well known by everyone on the planet that it's a biased and untrustworthy source of information since it existed basically, it's always been a running joke and in some cases a real rule to never use Wikipedia for research yet EVERYONE still uses it to cite information.
This triggered me so hard. The ones at Harbor Freight are unironically better. They should just stick to hand tools, and trying to manufacture wire strippers where the fucking rubberized grip doesn’t slip off the handle when you’re stripping 10AWG solid wire.
I was already going to vote for him, no need to convince me any further.
Once Trump loses this election, it will be game for us in every way. There will be nobody left to fight back against the establishmentNo one, that's who. The courts are lost, the MSM is lost, the election apparatus is lost so who will stand up and say they cheated? Who will dare to speak out against the entire apperatus of the state? Ask the Jan 6th'er how that went.
The fact that there is a non-insignificant number of people who still think Trump has a chance this year is baffling to me. The steal will be larger than it has ever been in history. I expect 90-100M+ votes for Kamala, and nobody will object. To me Trump lost this election back in 2008 when the Dems began to move their agents into every facet of the cultural institutions of America and the GoP just said...well OK I guess, go ahead and take over but we will bitch and moan about it.
Hurricane Helene begs to differ. Many rural voters in key Trump strongholds will not be able to vote.NC was never in contention and it's all bullshit. The electorate is more redder than it was from 2020. They voted red down the ballot but due to NC republicans sabotage, they may not win the governorship this year.
But no, NC is not in the play. Not according to the early voting.
You didn't say anything I didn't know. My response was to both. As JB is still very much active in this thread, I assumed he would see it too.You can't quote a quote to create a nested quote and the original post can't be replied to via the buttons because it's too long. They are voting now and they are voting in big, big numbers...so....that's a dumb take.Hurricane Helene begs to differ. Many rural voters in key Trump strongholds will not be able to vote.
