I have an acquaintance in Brazil who seems to believe that Elon is in fact his country's biggest problem and is in complete denial about all the very obvious problems Brazil faces (or, when he acknowledges them, says they're all Bolsonaro's fault, despite these problems being decades in the making). He's fairly typical of the urban middle class there, from what I can tell, which explains a great deal about the place.

They're identical to middle-class Democrats that vote blue no matter who. Comfortable and oblivious enough to think everything is fine, shooting themselves in the foot by supporting policies for progress' sake. Presumably they live in a big city like Sao Paulo?
