I mean, I wouldn't call 19 people in a country of 345,000,000, 8 years ago "plenty."

There are a lot of estimates, just from quick research I see at least 100k in Texas in 2019 (could be much higher now)
Are we really supposed to believe that someone who grew up wealthy in the richest part of Quebec took a job at McDonald’s?Genuine question: what record do you expect there to be? Do you genuinely think that every McDonald's franchise keeps employment records for every teenager who worked there 40 years ago? No business on earth keeps records of employees that long. Even hospitals aren't required to keep medical records for that long.
