I thought Robin Williams died because he was misdiagnosed and was given the wrong medication that eventually caused him to kill himself.
He was initially thought to have Parkinson's. LBD is like a cross between that and Alzheimer's, and much, much worse than either. Its main symptoms, besides tremor, include (surprise!) depression and paranoia.

In fact, I consider his cause of death to be Lewy body dementia, not suicide. The latter was his MANNER of death, and I also believe that he spared himself and his family a lot of misery by doing what he did.

Honestly, Fetterman isn't too bad. He's a huge Israel guy, to the point he goes after his own party on it. I'm not sure if it's the mental issues he had right before/during his election, but I find myself not hating him anywhere near as much as I thought I would.
John Fetterman's mental health issues were an offshoot of the stroke he had during his campaign.

When he was elected, some of us on another board were wondering who SNL would use to parody him, and how, but since they haven't (to my knowledge), I respect them for that. Ditto Trump's assassination attempt; I'll be honest, when that happened, I thought of John Lennon's "Lost Weekend" in the early 1970s (i.e. a lengthy drug and alcohol binge) where he showed up at a NYC nightclub wearing a feminine hygiene product as a hat. When the bouncer refused to let him in, he said, "Don't you know who I am?" and the bouncer replied, "Yeah, you're some asshole with a Kotex on his head."

Baris had an update video today. tl;dw his polling shows the election is not really close, Trump is likely to win 312 EV and has a chance at picking up more if the momentum continues. He cautions that Kamala still has a path, but it's narrow and everything is shifting away from her. In the Senate, he thinks 52 seats for GOP is a lock, 54 is even possible.
If the left has a complete blowout, loses both house and senate and the presidency, in such a manner that they can't even rely on RINOs to slow-walk Trump to 2026/2028...

Will they do any soul searching? Or will it be 2-4+ years of them screaming about Russian telepaths changing ballot results from remote?

My understanding is that Robin Williams killed himself in response to his diagnosis. Lewy body dementia is a horrible way to go, so he killed himself. Richard Farnsworth went out a similar way: he had terminal cancer and couldn't stand the physical pain anymore, so he took himself out.

If you thought post-election 2016 and BLM riots 2020 were violent just wait until post this election. You will see more white people lynched in the street just like you did in 2020.

It made me so sad back then that there were innocent white people in the street going about their day and all of a sudden a pack of people beat them to death, although it was a handful of cases they didn't get any mention in the media. No investigations, no reporting just forgotten about to appease the hordes.

The party will move left. Its the only option they have left to them that doesn't result in a split. Depending on how far left they move will either cement them as a regional party or they'll remain a national party. In either case it'll be an uphill battle for them to win national elections going forward.

They haven't learned thus far, there's no reason for them to start now.

The Gwen-Karen outburst post reminded me that I don't think anyone's posted a pic of her here yet.

Literally looks like she's the "youthlike" clone of Nancy Pelosi.

And she used to be pretty.

I guess I can see why Tim was pursuing boys.
Just my personal experience but public school teachers who have a spouse who works at the same school are invariably the worst teachers and almost every time end up being pedos. I've had two teachers where their spouse worked at the same school and both ended up getting fired for inappropriate conduct.

He did, but the Rs were still quite RINO infested.
In a way, they still are…

Off the top of my head John Cornyn, Mitt Romney, Tony Gonzales, Mike Johnson, Kevin McCarthy, Lindsey Graham, Nicki Haley, Mitch McConnell come to mind.

Turncoats who need to be primary’d (or ignored) like they’re getting gaped by Tyrone in Coffield Unit Correctional Facility.

If the Democrats get slaughtered, I expect there to be riots in the streets until it gets cold. Party leadership will try to do the obstructionist rigmarole again and make vague statements about Trump being Putler Mussomaopot. If it's a blowout, though, they won't have any power to actually do anything about it for at least 2 years.

All the while, the Democrats will do whatever handwavey "violence isn't the answer" bullshit they have to do because they're limousine liberals who do not understand the problem they've created, nor will they ever admit responsibility for creating it. Then there will be riots in the summer. Conservative states will put them down because Trump's Department of Justice won't spend millions trying to put every LEO in jail for doing his or her job. Liberal states will call the riots a "summer of love," anyone who has the gall to defend themselves in their homes will be charged with murder/attempted murder, and Blackrock will buy up the ashes.

I'm honestly sort of worried because I live in an extremely blue state, but I don't live in or near The Big City™ anymore, nor do I live near a university. Anyone who lives in or near The Big City™ or a university should get out. The state will not protect you and, if you defend yourself, it will prosecute you.

If anything, it’ll make things hopeful for us 2A-autists… the judge appointments, ATF rule rescinding, state elections, etc.

Perhaps I’m being a bit too optimistic, but then again, never say never. Bruen came from a menial carry case in NY if I recall correctly.

I refuse to doom. As I sit here writing the last of this weekend’s postcards, knowing all the polls, believing how incredibly close a race this will be until the polls close on Nov 5, listening to all my MAGA neighbors’ conversations and being fully aware the plans Trump and his circle have to subvert the election win or lose - I must believe that all the small — but many and mighty —efforts of people like me are a sign of the overwhelming power of this movement, proof of the enthusiasm for an absolutely phenomenal candidate, the resolute determination of millions of women like me who refuse to let the next generations of women have fewer rights than our grandmothers, and the commitment of those of us whose family members fought against the fascists of World War II to do everything in our power to make sure this democracy continues and we find some path to healing and normal political discourse.

lmao, she’s pretending to be religious again, but this is so general it is meaningless.

Kamala’s greatest issue might be that she’s too afraid to have an opinion because she doesn’t want to be controversial.
Idky but this feels like to me the scummiest thing her campaign's done. Just absolutely horrendous. Maybe it's bc of her reaction to the "Jesus is Lord" guy.
