I do believe Phil fakes tips, but not often. We know and Phil has admitted that he will lie before proving detractors right, and that he will lie whenever he deems it convenient (so, all the time). He was willing to defend Derich through thick and thin just because doing the right thing meant the detractors were right. That's his level of derangement, it's not about money. I think that, while greedy, Phil's need to be "right" will always be bigger, and if he could pay money to disappear detractors off the planet, he'd put himself in debt without even thinking about it. Lowering the goal back to 150 dollars, and then combining tips, SCs and memberships into one goal seem to support this idea. Phil is doing everything he can so he can keep his dumb streaks and say detractors are mad, ignoring the fact that this is affecting his precious liquidity
In this particular case, my crackpot contrarian theory is that Phil was sitting on a tip, but it wasn't enough to reach the goal. Like maybe one whale fell short, and he was expecting someone to step up and make up the rest, but since no one did it, he just said the tip was bigger out of habit and then ended the stream immediately as a fuck you to whoever didn't tip the requested money. I do agree that Phil was counting on the WWE Champions stream to get him an easy +250, so lying about the streak wasn't a big deal since he was going to make up for that, but since Champions still didn't get the goal, he gave up.
Also, oof at the streak dying on WWE Champions. I guess Phil was expecting the Kino Casino whales to become his fans, but funnily enough, they're getting tired of him. I can't even imagine how much of an asshole he was during the stream. Literally a crackhead not getting his fix, but instead it's a little bitch with man tits and noodle arms.
