This is my True and Honest opinion about the genderwars problem.

I have been affected by a few posters who have shit up threads in various parts of the forum due to what appears to be a personal bias against men. I really don’t care about such biases and people are entitled to their opinion. Usually the threads getting shit up is annoying and lowers my enjoyment of the site. Occasionally it’s funny and entertaining.

At least one of these posters has already been banned. Others disappeared around the time of the great lockout purge and it’s unclear if they ever came back on alts.

I think the MHT is uncoupled from this problem, i.e. it’s a scapegoat. The WHT is nearly a parody of the MHT and I don’t think it’s relevant to this discussion at all. The problem are the individual posters (who may or may not participate in the MHT) and a lack of clear rules for what exactly constitutes thread-shitting behavior deserving a ban coupled with selective enforcement of rules that are on the books.

Maybe we should consider their suggestion to make them true containment threads and then misogyny will be banned all over the site except the woman hate thread, right? surely these fellas would have zero issue no longer commenting on women lolcows fuckability, calling them whores, comment on every article about women being raped or killed that she deserved it, whine about how "white women are ruining the west" and "women voted for this" in every thread about politics etc etc??
