I meant during greenfield build - a 40 foot wide road vs a 50 footer isn’t terribly more expensive as it’s just basically materials and a few more passes of the machinery. Whereas a sidewalk is entirely different machines (unless it’s a concrete road but those are usually freeways).
Sidewalks have been standard on urban road construction for years, and the fact that they have to be ADA-compliant means they're naturally wider and have curb cuts anyway.

Update on this angry cyclist story, the driver had his ticket dropped when he sent in the dashcam footage, and Gary Peacock paid his ticket and "apologized". Rare cop W in the footage ngl, the cyclist is so unironically retarded, the cop has to explain the ticket for like 4 minutes.
Pretty sad that we have to have dashcams like Russians, Chinese, and other third-worlders because society is failing and everyone is finding new ways to screw you if you don't have video evidence.

Checking in about a year after I stopped the "Deboonking the Traffic Soyboys" articles. After skimming the last few pages, my read on the situation is that the Traffic Antifas are just as ridiculous as ever, but more marginalized, and their cultural heydey is in the rearview mirror. I also haven't seen any of their stuff on YouTube, but that's not much to go on.
I don't think it's quite that simple, if anything Jason has gotten more unhinged and we have yet to see his big November video. There are two big changes:
- Marohn and Strong Towns are losing influence; the result being that it is a "conservative" or non-partisan stance is dropped
- Ironically, there is a backlash growing against bike lanes in large cities. These people aren't conservative but the conversions are happening too fast that normies have grown suspicious, and in the past few months the media has been too busy running interference for Kamala Harris to throw cold water on it.
 
It doesn’t matter how maneuverable a bike is if the retard on top of it is going to just crash through pedestrians anyway. Nothing generates hatred for cyclists more than having to walk/drive anywhere near one: they will do everything they can, up to and including hurting themselves or others, to avoid having to alter their velocity in the slightest. The only acceptable path for cyclists is completely removed from reasonable society.
I saw one of these faggots shout at a crowd of people waiting for a bus at rush hour. He got all mad as he cycled away as if students and workers trying to get home at rush hour owe him the space. First of all, he shouted a general "HEYHEYHEY!" As if that's a universally recognized sound for a cyclist. Second, he was cycling counter to the flow of traffic, so of course, people were looking at the opposite direction.
 
I do not care what other people drive because I don't have to pay their gas/repair bills. If they can afford to drive it, good for them and if they can't, it'll be repo'd and on the used lot for a substantial discount.
I care because they take up two parking spaces or just shove their ass end into the street/sidewalk. American parking spaces are already huge how does your car not fit?

I just saw a video yesterday where some Mexicans(?) blocked someone's car with their own, and then reversed into them and faked being injured to pretend they got rear-ended. They froze up real quick and gave up when they noticed the driver had a dashcam.
Can't find anything on youtube where it doesn't have some fag talking over the footage but it was from some tiktok user named ashpianatasha4.

Insurance fraud attempt in Queens, NY 10-16-2024

I was driving in the left lane of the Belt Parkway going East bound towards the Southern State Parkway. The silver Honda (LBB 8917) was in the middle lane, and they cut me off and slammed on the brakes coming to a full stop hoping I would hit them. I did not hit their car and because of that they reversed into my car for collision and acted as if they were injured while coming out of their vehicle. I believe the intention was to say I hit their car for insurance fraud purposes. They had a tarp covering the rear windshield which fell off once they hit my car. You can see the driver is a male wearing a hat and you can see him switching to the passenger seat as well as the movement of the car before anyone gets out. The first three passengers exit the car pretending to be hurt, while the fourth passenger who was driving slips out through the passenger seat and gets into a second vehicle. That second vehicle was a red KIA SUV (KJH 3340) which was following me from behind and keeping distance so they wouldn't slam into me. The red KIA drove around and picked up the driver to get away. The remaining three people’s demeanor changed once one of them noticed the dashcam. They only came out of the car with their phones ready to record the damage to both cars. They were quick to ask for my insurance and quickly left after the exchange. I called the police at the time of the incident and reported it as an accident, and the police told me they no longer go to an accident if no one is injured and they are willing to exchange information. I did not realize at the time that the driver switched and left in another car or that it was a set-up as I was driving by myself, and everything happened so fast.

Hi everyone, please read the caption from my original post to see full story. I called the police at the time of the incident but as I mentioned previously, I did not know it was a set-up. I did know it was sketchy but as I was driving by myself, I did not want to put myself in more danger. That is also why I did not tell them about my dash cam. I saw what I saw and knew that if I'm right, I won't be at fault.

A video was sent of the same insurance fraudsters; The other video that went viral shows a Kia pulling up seconds after the incident then a man with tattoos is seen getting into the car and this video shows the same Kia pulling up after the incident with the same man with tattoos.

This accident happened on August 24, Belt Parkway

The victim stated:

When I asked the guy why did you come to a complete stop, he was like. " didn't you see the car in front of me?" There was no one, kia pulled over afterwards. I knew he was full of shit. My insurance is investigating. So is their insurance carrier.

But its just bullshit. And of course they are attorney represented for bodily injury.

The problem with executing these leeches is that they leave their victims in a financial hole. I advocate for indentured servitude until a time that three times the damages done to the other party are paid off.

The victims gets the criminal as property and can loan out the victims labor. If they don't want to work, beatings can be authorized.

These leeches will pay back their debt to society and then some.

It's what I've observed is that biking is essentially for someone who has no where better to be or works an office job poking at a keyboard. If you're working at a blue collar job or fast food the last thing you want to do when you're tired is bike home. The idea that fuckcars and urbanists want to believe that working class people bike as a primary way of travel is an absolute cope. This is exactly like how they believe working class people should be in favor of socialism in their minds. THEY bike to get around and believe themselves to be representative of the working class.

They never consider if the bus stops anywhere near the kind of place a typical blue-collar person works. They generally don't go out of their way to stop at factories, or industrial parks, or equipment depots, etc.

They mostly just loop around a downtown or campus.

Which to a self-professed "working class" lefty? Are the only places they ever go.

If you actually watch his street-walking videos you can count the number of bikes on one hand. "Oh but muh induced demand, if they build it people will come" uh no. The reason why everyone is either on foor or in a car is that they live FAR from downtown and are stuck using a vehicle of some sort to get there. Nobody is going to manhandle their bike onto the subway so they can get off at Ossington and pedal the rest of the way home.

Average urbanist or even just big truck hater could win actually win a surprising amount of average joe or working class hearts and minds if more smaller options with a sizeable bed or work happy trucks like muh Keis (atleast, for lower speed or risk worksites) were something they advocated for

Like we're not niggers, right? Everyone knows these exist in the USA today, right? They're called ATVs or golf-carts, and are street-legal for non-highway use in many jurisdictions, and even if not, many more have them not explicitly banned, and you can just ask the cops and get permission for "incidental" movement across highways.

I really enjoy those articles, I re-read them again the other day to laugh at the retards in them xD

My big problem with that series it relies too much on memes and the occasional "muh JOOS" to really get the point across. Plus, the "I too dislike being stuck in the suburbs" weakens the argument.
