A lot of the conspiracy theories posted on /pol/ read like they're cope to explain why the real Trump doesn't act like the version of himself that their echo chamber built up before he was in office. It provides a convenient explanation for both why he goes on unhinged rants (they're coded messages for those in the know) and why his actual policies are closer to the basic Republican Party platform than the revolution that they promised themselves he would bring about (he's playing the long game, and you just have to trust The Plan).

It's easy enough to separate Trump's policy positions from Trump as a person, if you have a life outside of 8chan. Even if you support his policies, it's still possible to acknowledge that he's a standard-issue lolcow whose PR team must be living on a diet of Adderall and vodka to avoid collapsing under the weight of their own futile existence. If you've hyped him up to the point where he's basically the Messiah like his supporters on /pol/ have, though, then there has to be some explanation for it all.

How can people ITT be so stuffed up their own asses they deny this is great content? This cheesy motherfucker is selling cheap home printed t shirts at marked up prices and he still manages to be a more palatable candidate to the majority than the horrible alternative. He printed his mugshot and sold it as merch after years of DOJ efforts to fuck the court systems to get it. Nothing the sneeders throw at him sticks and he just laughs and turns it into memorabilia, face it, this is America Man manifested in a fat orange body. It is what it is, losers.
