So basically, if we give Nick the benefit of the doubt, he was either bluffing in the hope of drawing out more info or wasting Monica's resources trying to deposition him, or he had a lead that disappeared when Vic's case stopped having forward momentum. It's tough to say which is more likely. He definitely had a source and we saw with Huber and Nadolny that there were turncoats that were shy to show themselves unless they were certain that it would work out, so it's definitely possible he just had someone who dropped him, but there is logic behind bluffing, too.
No, I completely disagree. ISWV was not Risembool Rangers, and it's sour grapes to pretend it was. Nick had a huge positive influence on Vic's initial PR and was instrumental in helping him bounce back and take back control of the narrative. Vic's existing PR team was trash and had him write that terrible apology that gets used against him to this day. It is unfortunate that Ty Beard failed Vic - though I resolutely continue to believe that is just the excuse a bunch of boomers used to get an overly complex and visibly petty case off their dockets, and you won't convince me otherwise - but it's inarguable that Nick's support and PR push is what stopped the tide of Kickvic from consuming Vic completely.
