I wouldn’t say that.

While it was far more “safe” to be a Republican then (“Muh COMPASSIONATE conservatism”) in the media, there was a huge push among the usual elitist MSM pricks to support Gore.

Remember how dumb and crude Bush was? Oh my! There was little political difference between them, but the thought of voting for such a CRUDE Texas simpleton, was enough to make the NYT Opinion writers choke on their French Brie.

I still remember everyone sucking Al Gore off like he was the savior of the planet. I think I ended up just ignoring that election and didn't vote that cycle because I was tired of the bullshit. We still have kids who are scared as fuck the planet's going to go all "Mad Max" due to Al Gore's initial round of bullshit.
