AH. Wow! Well I liked the originals! I won't lie. They turned out nice. Just goes to show you, AI can fool us sometimes. (Also I'll be honest, I wasn't inspecting the "originals" for signs of AI, like I might have ordinarily. I was caught off guard and was fooled. Oops.)
Thanks for letting me know that they were AI. I took it on faith that they used someone's work, but yes, there were different styles in there. (This is not unusual, we often have more than one rendering style.)
And yeah the result is a failure, it does not look like style they were trying to replicate at all.

Edit: the more I think of the "original" or "real" images (the AI images the OOP glazed for this experiment), you are right, it's very incoherent. The styles varied a bit but I did see some consistency in several of the images and that was gone in the outputted images. Better to use a real artist in the experiment, but then again I don't wish this on any real artist.
