I have taken to doing that too. That does not resolve the issue of these people sperging outside of these containment areas, because they're still going to do it, and you either underestimate or are willfully ignoring the fact that the rest of the website views any form of "blocking" as a sign of personal weakness and, thus, will not do so despite being given every opportunity to do so, and that goes for both sides of the fence.

Im retarded and cant be bothered to read 50 pages of this shit, but this seems pretty important, do you have a specific case in mind that youre referring to; particularly people banned over their behavior in MHT / WHT, and what their posts looked like to warrant a ban? seems like you'd make a very strong case if you can show a double standard in moderation if you have samples of the exact same behavior not getting similar treatment.

No, because that's not even remotely what I said. My point is when the MHT / WHT genderwar nonsense spills out onto other parts of the Farms. I am not sure why you would focus on that matter specifically when I have stated that I don't care about, and I don't really look at, the MHT and WHT threads. But, as for cases that do actually pertain to my point:

Here's the locked down #Coomerleaks thread, which resulted in the fourth or fifth deletion of a frequently recreated mass DM chain (which is no big deal, honestly, since it happens so often because someone always spergs too hard in it), but also resulted in the bans of a handful of users under nebulously valid reasons (at least one being our resident beloved retard @wry wrangler for antics he has long since been renowned for both in public and within these chains). Of note, said DM chain didn't get hit until a certain user started their usual shit stirring it, which didn't go their way, and particularly when said user was getting criticized for their actions sitewide.

Here's the #BPGoonerGate thread, which is what seems to have triggered the aforementioned thread. I will admit, the banwave from that one was a lot more even-handed, stated reasons considering, but it's interesting how, AFAIK, we have not been openly given any reason for the bans of the users in the aforementioned case and we have had to infer the reasoning for such action, even though a banlist and reasonings behind the bans were given in this instance.

I don't track this whole mess as much as others have. I've really only been back on the Farms for about a month now after being away for almost a year. But I have noticed certain patterns whenever certain users insert themselves into wholly unrelated threads and they're not getting the reception they're hoping for. Here's another thread that caught a Spergatory shutdown under similar circumstances. I've seen a number of other people attest the same in other cases as well and, as I can vaguely recall, this pattern was beginning to take root around the time that I stopped frequenting the site for a while.

Other users can provide their own examples as I'm not privy to those incidents. I'm only aware of their mutual testimony regarding the matter.
