It is more pronounced with women, because they are higher in negative emotion by nature. Ironically it also results in the highest rate of depression and general anxiety in history. No amount of medication will fix that damage.

My experience is the opposite. Most were focused on their majors and potential careers, and if you weren't quite on their level, they wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire. They may not be as competitive as men, but they're catching up.
