Yeah, that's how and why terrorism works. This is why, in the realm of counter-terrorism and counterinsurgency, public safety is the most important aspect. If people do not feel safe that they can conduct legal business and behaviours without being harmed by terrorists, then the terrorists walk away with a W.

It sucks, but it is what it is.

I feel sorry you won't be able to attend. The fact no one can find common ground on the abortion issue just depresses me.

Nuclear energy has had a PR problem for years. You have to got to go against nearly 80 years of propaganda against it. Everything from how standing next to it makes you die and grow 6 toes on your head. To the meltdowns that have happened. Chernobyl scared a lot of people in to cutting the balls off the research and implementation of it.
It is only now that the message is starting to get through that the reactor was not only flawed when built, but overseen by incompetent soviet boobs who cared more about not being shot for making small mistakes in dress protocol. Than running the reactor in a safe way. Half of the story of it was communist incompetency and scapegoating.
