TEXAS UPDATE

Early voters in Tarrant County (it's Ft. Worth, the largest black city that's mega conservative) still seeing record turnout with 60-90 minute wait times to get to the machines.

Democrats can't win anything statewide unless Tarrant votes blue. It's looking like a red wave up in that part of the state.

Okay, so now people freaking out about an October surprise. The guy that started this whole thing, Mark Halperin, clarified what he meant saying that no story is being pitched by him, but bad actors are desperate to sway the election because Kamala is going the wrong direction. This is basically the equivalent of the Tim Walz poster, except it's going against Trump so it got viral. So all the stuff about photos or videos is copium.

I agree. The Walz shit at least tried to cover himself with some "I am getting it all in writing and contacting the victims" to try and excuse it. But this? Literal video proof already acquired and out? Why wait if it is this explosive?

Ranked Choice Voting is a decent idea, but the issue people pushing for it don't realize is that it doesn't matter if the people running the system are corrupt. They will just find a way to rig it anyway. RCV just means a bit more work.

I can confirm here in austin, there's long lines to vote. I went at 2pm yesterday and it was long. I just went back to work cause I didn't want to wait.

Back when people still used Facebook I remember looking at the newsfeed which you couldn't shut off and of course was filled with hilariously slanted headlines and thinking what a powerful thing it was. A big chunk of the nations population would be forced to see whatever spin Suckerberg chose several times a day as they are shuffling through their account. I could see it being enough to reliably shift a significant chunk of unattached voters every election. I was slightly surprised when he took it down. Although by this time FB was mainly just used by foreigners and boomers who would be annoyed by that shit so it may have just been an easy peace offering.
