You don't believe that's going to happen regardless? We're cruising past the "just vote them out" era. Every week the FBI is arresting people for plans of political violence, and sometimes those people aren't even working for them. Every irresponsible voice and institution in the country has spent eight years insisting that a Trump presidency would lead to a catastrophic fascist takeover. At this point they are doing it on purpose, since liquidating parts of the country into bodies and rubble creates new investment opportunities, but also they want to study how mob rule can be used to eliminate outsiders or political rivals.

I think its less if there will be violence or not, and more how bad it'll be. I think a clear Trump victory will do a lot to quench any fires before they start. A lot of the people on the left will go "He won, and by a clear majority, I'm not doing another four years of this, get over your self" to the far left when that pack starts screaming. It won't return the country to a reasonable ground, but it won't escalate things. Which at this point is the best America can do for the foreseeable future.

You know what's amazing about this. He demanded a candidate guide. If they did that, they could add their endorsement graphic or put a blurb under it "with this, the Editorial Board has decided that Candidate Buttmuch is a better fit for this role."

Alt weeklies used to publish these even into the 2010s, every newspaper did them, usually on the print run on the weekend before election day.
