AA, i my experience, really doesn't push any particular religion and certainly nothing political. It's just a bunch of people sitting around telling stories about how sick they used to be and, hopefully, how much better things are now that they've stopped drinking and leaning on each other for support. I found it extremely helpful for beginning sobriety, less so as the years went on. I eventually felt strong enough in my sobriety to stop attending, and I think that's true for most people.

I find it useful to continue going because a lot of the guys in my group are social and fun to be around. If you go to a group and all they do is tell war stories and talk about the steps, then I can imagine it getting stale after a while. Other groups organize regular sober outings and my "chapter" in particular operates as its own private club, so the building we use has a smoking room, a game room, and so on.

The big story floating around was that Mattis took over a christmas watch so the enlisted guy could spend christmas with his family. Mattis was a morale raiser but a bad politican. Need more mattises than milleys. (i only know
milley from his white rage bullshit that causes the current recruitment crisis)

Milley is a legit soldier with some real medals on his chest. However, he is not afraid of being political and, because he's (D)ifferent, he can get away with it. Mattis is a very by-the-book soldier and, as I said, he dedicated his life to the Corps. No wife, no kids, just the Corps. While I'm not happy that him and Trump have a bad relationship, I still respect the man for his career.

God I wish Good Samaritans knew proper CPR, but they just don't get the practice.

To be fair to that woman, the article I found was praising her for acting quickly and doing it correctly. The guy who died was old and he had full cardiac arrest - there was no saving him. I just figured, in the moment, that it was a good angle for fucking with her head and it worked. I still feel kinda bad about using that guy's death as a prop of sorts, but I hope the woman learned her lesson about threatening strangers online. That's not even the worst story I have about Googling internet tough guys and saying horrendous shit to them.

Oh man, reading this filled me with dread lol. I've gone hog hunting a few times and they're absolute menaces, I won't do it anymore, at least not from the ground. I totally understand the appeal of hunting them from helicopters with with AR15s/AR10s even outside of the fact that it's just looks like fun, it's a safety measure

In Louisiana/Texas you can hunt feral hogs, which are very dangerous and hurt children and livestock with no provocation. Farmers beg you to hunt them, they're a menace.

I truely do love how that dude who got trashed on twitter for the "30-50 feral hogs" memes defending the use of a AR-15 is justified each and every day.

I don't think people realize just how BIG a domesticated hog is, now imagen its feral.

Everyone I knew who hunted hogs said they always did it out the back of a truck so they could drive off just in case.

I did it from a climbing stand and the ground in a small group in an area that was primitive weapons only, which at the time meant bows or muzzleloaders though thankfully the definition has expanded over the years because the population just keeps growing, so it now includes single shot and lever action rifles that use straight wall casings.

If you take a shot at them from a climber you've just gotta hope you put them down first shot (not a guarantee with black powder) because if you don't they'll be waiting for you on the ground. Nothing like fumbling with black powder and a ramrod while a 200+lb boar is screaming at you lol. I'd feel a lot better with a lever action 45-70 or even just a crossbow nowadays but unfortunately, at least with the males, they don't even taste good so I'm not super interested in going back regardless of what I'm allowed to tote

This, right here, is the crux of the problem with not only Kamala but the entire DNC for pretty much the last 8 years.

They are one huge tent party whose entire plataform can be boiled down to "not Trump". This only barely worked when Trump was the POTUS, but now that they are in power it doesn't work.

In the 1970s there were literal thousands of terrorist bombs in the USA. This has been absolutely retconned out of the historical record by the commies who now run education who pretend that it never happened.
