In fact, there's a lot of people who are outright saying that the only way to be any kind of upstart is to be a republican one. That's why people like Tulsi Gabbard and RFK are breaking for trump.
RFK could have been a great dem candidate. They pushed him out because he wasn't establishment enough. He would have gotten a decent amount of bipartisan votes. Same with Surf Mommy. They fear losing control SO much that they are throwing future elections.

I am so excited for the election results. The Democrats are going to delay it as long as they can, if only to stall it and pray for a miracle, but it's all over but the crying at this point.

@Francis York Morgan If Trump wins, is there a way to embed "Shadilay" into the "Trump won" thread? I assume there will be a separate thread for that.
I think that they're going to try to delay it, but ultimately, the jig is going to eventually be up and we'll probably get the results in the middle of the night or the next morning.

All of this talk of "it will take days to count the votes!" is starting to sound like copium to me; an attempt to give the Dem voting base enough hope to go out and vote on Election Day.

At this point, I believe that the next "option" is for the House Dems to refuse certifying the results ... Which will be really interesting if they actually try it.

That’s not what they’re doing though.

European countries have a strict migration policy. Because you can’t have things like public healthcare or free education, if a bunch of Africans who never paid into the system keeps flooding the border.

Europeans also have realized that you can’t just keep raising taxes, which is why they’re experimenting with things like private healthinsurance or increased user payments in healthcare.

Democrats on the other hands are plagued with rabid ideologues who want a welfare state AND no limits on immigration. And think that if you somehow milk billionaires until there are none left, everything will be free for everybody.
If this is true, why is immigration still at max levels and why are commies basically banning opposition right-wing parties and taking over? Correct me if I'm wrong here, but it does not seem like Europe is moving away from leftism.

What's actually funny is, after Trump in 2020, Congress changed the rules so that the VP certifying the results is ceremonial and nothing else (I found this out a few days ago). So they kinda shot themselves in the foot there.

Europe has been letting in the muzzies at a record pace and can only pay for Healthcare because we bankroll their militaries. The Dems are exactly the same.

The DNC's centralized power structure makes it impossible for any organic breakouts to rise within the ranks as efficiently as those in Trump World, or even the old GOP.

Bernie's mistake was he never went scorched earth on Pelosi, Schumer and the other party elders which would have won over independents and populists. The young people supporting him was a real asset. There was a real opportunity for Sanders but now his time has passed. He was on a Twitch stream with a catboy VR anime person last night.

I think we shouldn't let them do it. I think we should go right on using those words and pay absolutely no mind to those who would take them from us. Be joyful and gay. Stop giggling about it and take happiness seriously.
Your post makes me feel gay and optimistic!

Like putting another faggot on the fire, warming my weary heart!

I still think it’s very up in the air as to if Trump wins or not, but if he does the scenario you described does seem likely since we’ll start seeing unheard of levels of TDS.

They always change the rules thinking they will never be on the receiving end of those revised rules. They have made this mistake so many times.

Sweden has tried to reverse course, though it’s a bit late. In many European countries the ruling socialdemocrats have taken the anti migration policies of far right parties and adopted them. Germany for example recently introduced border controls.

Shit, even in England both Conservatives and Labour promised to stop migration.

I can't reply to @TheSockiestSock's post, but this part and the quote by McConnell that the former president has “done a lot of damage to our party’s image and our ability to compete” encompasses what I loathe about these people. They don't really care about the people, they care about their team, first and foremost. Yeah, maybe the Republicans should just come out and declare that everyone from Mexico to Venezuela should stream over the border and they'll receive a free $100,000 cheque as long as they vote for Team Red. Yay, Team Red wins, that's all that matters, right?

I often see the trite line of "Country over party" spouted on social media (usually) by Leftists that are trying to appeal to the patriotism that many Right wingers have in an attempt to sway them from voting for Trump, but when I read quotes like that from McConnell it's a simple reminder these pieces of shit politicians couldn't care less about the country, only about winning for themselves.

Has life got you down? Did they rig the election again? Are you about to be drafted to fight a war nobody asked for? Well have I got good news for you. The US government just gave itself the power to kill you for protesting.

"Why would they do this?" you might ask. Because fuck you for being American, that's why.
They'll literally asking for a civil war with this shit, they love playing the victim so much.

Didn't Colorado flat out do it?

Oh booo... I thought they did it just on their own.

States that sign on to the National Popular Vote Compact agree to assign their presidential electors to the candidate who gets the most votes nationally, not the winner of the statewide vote. The catch is that it only goes into effect once enough states have joined to ensure that they will control the outcome of the election.
All other states change their reporting to not include vote totals and simply state "the delegates and all residents of this state cast our vote for x"

I’m not a doomer, but they may be preparing for the outrage after a potential steal.

The real people putting country over party are the lifelong Dems who are voting for Trump, lol

A chilling thought just hit me: what happens if electors of states that voted for Trump go faithless and vote Harris?

Depends on how many and the reasons given to do it.

If a few do it as a protest vote it will be very cringe and stupid, opening them up to be criticized as doing what they acuse Trump of doing.

If they get enough to actually flip the election then I have no idea. Probably a refusal to certify such votes and they are told to cast them again (IIRC the 1824 election had something similarly fucky going on and they redid the EC and had negotations going on between parties to agree on results). If not Civil War.

Very unlikely though, if the candidate was someone actually mildly decent the Ds might try it but I don't see any of the actual power brokers in the DNC greenlighting such a huge move for Kamala Harris.
