the upside is all these people are far more miserable than the family members they cut off. My own aunt cut us off, not even because they said any explicitly pro trump (we learned long ago to just not talk about politics at all around her) but she hallucinated us heiling hitler and gassing jews because...... we posted vacation photos instead of ranting about putin's invasion of the ukraine that happened while we were away.

For real though There needs to be severe and lasting punishment for the people who deranged and destroyed the social fabric like this with their trump hitler fanfictions and 24/7 fearporn.

the punishment I refer to should be for the propagandists and politicians, not the victims of their fearporn and propaganda like my relative.

This confirms my biases - Every time I drive through there it's awful, and the #2 plate I avoid on the road in general is Maryland. They are by and large actually retarded (#1 is New Jersey btw)

I think I figured out why I'm not seeing many political signs this season. I looked at my sample ballot this morning and every single office except for two (president and one state court justice seat) is a Republican running unopposed either as an incumbent or completely new.

I literally just got this ad on YouTube. I also just got a Kamala ad promising that she'll magically fix the economy, give everyone free healthcare, and gives us all a million abortions.

I have a liberal relative who finally got cut off by several of her decendants because of her rabid Covid sperging. She'd always been abusive, and her family had put up with it. But her "You're trying to kill people by going to a restaurant! You must want your children to die!!" was the last straw.

People who do this to themselves are going to earn whats coming to them in a social capacity. Your relative is alone due to her delusion and rage. She cannot set aside her differences with her family long enough to see them as family. She is alone and angry. Lol. Lmao.

She is responsible for allowing herself to become this isolated and angry, but that's not to attribute all the blame to her, though. She's partially a victim of an ideology that encourages social isolation from people with different ideologies. If you want to attribute blame and "exact punishment" on anyone, its the news anchors, politicians, and influencers who sew division and implant ideas that your family and friends are enemies if you can't have a respectful disagreement with them.

Don't get so angry you can't see that you're typing dumb bullshit without reason.

Just had a thought recently but what if the rape accusations against Trump was Kamala's team hoping for the backlash because they knew much more solid accusations would come out against her? Think about it, if someone said Kamala groped them now, no one would believe them. It wouldn't make a fucking dent in the political sphere and the question of "why now" would at least make sense since it's the first big election for Kamala since 2010.
